When our eight year old grandson opened this he exclaimed, "Moe and Pop get me the best presents!" So far, he hasn't been disapointed with the Wolverine claw. And Jacob plays rough.

The claws are great, and my son's favorite birthday gift! You should buy 2 claws, to get the full effect like Wolverine! The blades are not soft, so if you are buying them for rough and tough boy, buy with caution. They are durable, and the sounds are fun and easy to activate.

I got the claws (2 of them - per recommendations from other consumers) for my son's 7th b'day. He really likes them. My son's on the small side of avg, but he managed them well. He played w/them all w/e, but like most things he has entrusted them to the comforts of his toy chest. The claws are durable to the use of any typical boy (or toy chest). My only "complaint" is about retracting the blades. No biggie, but it takes a little extra effort to push them back n2 place. Other than that, I thought it was a good choice for my son & me.

My son had wanted this for his birthday ever since he first saw it advertised. I wasn't sure if it would be up to his expectations but he loves it. We have only had it about a week but he can't put it down. The only down side to this product is that it is sometimes hard to get the "claws" to go back into the fist but it just needs a little more force than what my son could give it. I would recommend it to anyone!

my son got these for his 6th bday yesterday and has not stopped playing with them. I agree that you HAVE to buy 2 of them b/c wolverine has 2!! That is definitely a con that they don't have a pkg of 2 for those of us that want both.
the claws sometimes get stuck if my son doesn't flick them out just right, but he really doesn't care! they are rounded plastic and larger around than I expected so he really cannot hurt anyone/thing too easily. It has adjustable velcro under the black part and a handle to hold onto so virtually anyone of any size can use them. makes electronic slashing sounds when they are moved.
overall great and we would buy again!

My son is so happy with the claw he wears it hours at a time.

when he's wearing it he "becomes" wolverine, talking in a low raspy voice, threatening people and all. Its hilarious.

Too bad it only comes in single form. There should be the option of buying a pair at a discount.

The only thing my son does not like about the claw is that sometimes not all three claws extend fully at the first thrust. Sometimes only one or two extend and the rest stay retracted.

Other than that he loves it and it has cool sound effects too.

Even though it looks like it will be too big for a yound child, my son is able to handle it well and it still fits adult hands too.

I also noticed that manuvering the claw frequentely can cause your knuckles to be irritated. Maybe only adults, my son hasn't complained yet. Most likely can be remedied with putting some kind of padding where knuckles would hit.
