We wanted green diapers for our baby. We tried 7th Generation diapers NEWBORN, and they leaked a lot, especially at night. We tried Earth's Best, and we are now using this product. I think it the best "disposable" green diaper. People on the reviews complain that they are too rough, but that is the trade-off of being green, and more environmentally sound. We have not had any accidents or leaks with this brand. Common sense is that if one goes more than 3 hours checking your baby's diaper, you run the risk of leaks. You should check & change that frequently anyway to prevent diaper rash. I think this product is great. It is a better fit for our petite newborn...born 5lbs, 14 oz, and now 7 lbs, 5 oz.

Hubby & I decided to use a greener-disposable diaper instead of the original AIO's cloth diapers we were planning to use. With us living in the desert, we would have used alot more water than the amount of waste from these diapers. Our water is rationed, so extra laundry cycles would have been counter-productive on our green journey. Anyhow, tried these and Seventh Generation diapers. I liked how these have a more natural shape to baby's bottom, absorbent, & they have the moisture-wicking mesh lining on the inside like Pampers does, BUT, the stiffer construction, & equally-stiff/scratchy leg gussets that contain baby's waste proved to leave uncomfortable red sensitive marks on my baby's inner legs.. This is the reason why I decided to stick to Seventh Generation. Given, 7th Generation diapers are more boxy, have a more natural look to them, & contain the same benefits as Earth's Best, but the reason why I am sticking with them is because they are def. softer on our baby's bottom.. He's the one wearing the diaper, so he should feel comfortable in it.. Alot of ppl switch to Earth's Best because 7th Generation supposedbly leaks, but they don't if you stretch open the leg gussets before applying the diaper on your baby.. If you don't, the mess will leak out of the diaper. Both Earth's Best and 7th Generation are equally priced, both are perfume/chlorine/chem, etc etc free.. But for baby's sake, 7th Generation def. beats out Earth's Best on softness and comfort for baby.. ANOTHER CON. to Earth's Best: they leave a bunch of gel particles on your baby's bottom..Not very easy to wipe off quick when you've got a squirmy baby boy who can pee on you at any time..lol! Quick diaper changes with boys due to this is essential! hehe! So, nope.. I don't recommend these diapers.. Go with 7th Generation instead =)

I like the diaper's used them on all 5 of my kids. The last batch we bought were not the best we had an issue with them not staying on. The velcro would not stay and we had many wet clothes and a naked baby running around because of this issue. If this issue was resolved I would definitely buy again and refer a friend.

Comments about Hain Celestial 1010315 Earth's Best Newborn Diapers - 40 Count:

Was happy to have a more natural diaper. I agree with others that they are not as soft on the outside and are stiff. They also, as a few other said, right and smaller than most of same size. The most unfortunate part was that our daughter ended up with bright bright red skin after a few days' use. We change diligently. So, it wasn't an issue of being on too long. We did notice they aren't as absorbent; they don't pull the moisture away, and the #2 just stays right on the top and against skin. Hoping we can exchange them for something else. Darn.

I was excited by this product until we used them. They have leaked every time we used them. I did not want to use pampers because of the non-green factor and perfumes; however they do not leak.

We used NB size for an average sized child.

Comments about Hain Celestial 1010315 Earth's Best Newborn Diapers - 40 Count:

I was excited to buy a diaper that might be healthier for my new son. However, upon receiving my order I realized that these are great -- *IF* you change the diaper every 90 minutes without fail. My wife I found that it was common to change his clothing 5-7 times per day. Literally you change the diaper, feed, put down for a short nap. You are soaked. Change diaper, clean clothes, 45 minutes goes by and time to change again.

Then there's the poop problem, it tends to move to the non-absorbent ruffles. Which means staining clothes. We aren't talking about leaving a child in diaper for hours on end. I am ready and willing to change diaper every 2-3 hours, not 2-3 times in 3 hours. Poor performance, will not order again.

While these fit my newborn (she was 9 lbs), they didn't fit for long. They are quite small. But the biggest minus is that they caused redness on my baby. No other diaper has caused redness except this one. She would get flaming red the second I put these on her. They also are very stiff, so they don't contour around the baby very well, which leads to leaks.

Rough on skin (not a soft feel), too small for a newborn, and my newborn was small (6 pounds, 4 oz). Will def not buy again. We did not have leaks so I guess that was good, but that was it! Not worth it!

Safe & free of chemicals, works great. My baby wakes up a few times during the night to eat at which time I change his diaper. Does not leak, does not irritate his sensitive skin. Worth every penny!
