The #598e Lipper child's natural beech wood toy chest is a perfect place for your child to store all of the toys. Collect stuffed animals, blocks, games, and costumes in this beautiful toy chest. With a sturdy top, the chest doubles as a bench with a 20-inch seat height, great for story time or doll display. The heavy duty hinge prevent the lid from slamming closed, while front finger slots further reduce the odds of pinched fingers. Made in Thailand, the Lipper international #598 child's toy chest features beech wood construction for durability and strength. For cleaning, Lipper International recommends you wipe the pieces down with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately to avoid water damage on the wood. Use a mild soap on marks and stains. The wood did not line up correctly and always rubs on the right side when opening and closing the top. For as expensive as this toy box is, I would expect better quality.

I purchased this toybox for my grandson. When we opened the box I loved the color. But as we looked at the pieces we saw that the back section of the toybox was cracked. I thought maybe we could fix it, but my husband said it couldn't be fixed. Now I have the job of sending back a toybox, which is the last thing I feel like doing.I would NOT recommend this Toybox!

Was a bit worried about buying this product, it only had one review when we purchased it and had looked at several others, which all had poor reviews. When we got it, I thought a couple of the pieces were a bit flimsy, however once we got it all put together... it was perfect. My kids can sit on it without breaking it, it's impossible to slam! It isn't easily scratched like some of the others we've seen, and my 6 year old can actually get inside of it with several toys, and close it. It's pretty big, holds a LOT. We bought it in expresso, love the finish... it can grow with them and go in a teenagers room for blanket storage without looking too kiddy. For now, we have it in our living room where it serves as an extra seat for guests! Very happy with our purchase.

We gave this toy chest to our grandson in Winston-Salem for his birthday. His parents put it together. They said when it arrived did have a minor dent in transportation, but I did not open it up. They feel it will be fine when put a little polish on it. Have filled it with toys. Thanks!

Does not line up.
Top will not close all the way and it rubs on the right side. Would not rec. to a friend. Wood is not all that strong feels like its going to crack in the front.
