Everywhere I go I have to bring it, I love pushing it around.
I make up excuses just to go out so I Can use it!
It's easy to put together, I put it together on my own in maybe 10 minutes.
My only complaint is the foot room!
You can't really lay the seats down with out it overlapping the other seat so it gets stuck.
Unless you have the footrest completely down and the seats facing each other you can't lay it back all the way. Wish it had more then one cup holder some where I can set my things in besides the big basket. I don't want to have to dig in that huge basket to find my phone.

I thought that this stroller would be easier than the double frame I used for the car seats. I was tired of carrying the heavy carseats up and down the stairs. But the Contours Options Tandem Stroller is more of a hassle than having two carseats in hand. The stroller was pretty easy to assemble but it's just not apartment/2nd floor friendly. And it takes up the whole trunk. Other than that if you live in a house and have a spacious SUV or mini van this stroller is perfect. It rides really smooth and it's easy to control.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

I have used the Contours Options tandem stroller almost everyday for the past 6 months. I have a 7 months old son, 20 months old son, and an 8 year old step-daughter who has downs syndrome. When I had my second son I realized that I needed a stroller I could push easily, had plenty of storage, and had seats that recline. Here's a few reasons why I love the Contours Options tandem.
A tandem stroller was a must for me. It can fit just about anywhere. It has a wide wheel base and is easy to push. It's harder when my oldest son is in front but it still glides. The thick rubber wheels and wide handle bar means that I can push one handed (if I have to). I have all three kids a lot and I HAVE to hold my 8 year olds hand in certain places.
With the car seat adaptor that is included with the Contours Options I didn't worry to much about the type of car seat I owned because it fits just about anything. If you want a sure very secure fit then check with Contours list of approved car seats.
The seats face forward or back giving 7 different options. I like to have them face each other right now. They're little so there is no fighting yet. Also it's cold up here and I feel like they stay warm facing each other with the hoods up to block the cold wind. The canopies are a red sporty color that I think my red headed boys look cute under. They cover so much of my boys that I know they are protected from the elements. The seats recline all the way back. I can recline them in any configuration. If they are facing anyway from each other I just put one seat on, recline it, then put the second on. The seats are roomy. My 8 year old sat in it once. She exceeds the weight limit so I had her get up but she fit. The canopy does not fit over her head but it's a BABY stroller, not a wagon.
Most of the other tandem double strollers use the basket on the bottom for the second child's legs and feet. I have to have a usable basket. My hands are full and I need that space. The basket is strong but not as strong as I would like. I'm sure I will be replacing it someday. I pack it full. The large size of the basket is hands down my favorite feature.
The stroller is big even when it's folded but every double stroller is. If I don't feel like lifting it with the extra weight of the seats I just pop them off. It fits in the back of cars but I have a minivan so it's not problem getting it in or out.
There are a few tricks to folding and unfolding it that make it super easy. To unfold, unlatch it and push down on the piece that says Options while holding the handle bar. To fold it, pull up on both red knobs while pushing the break down with your foot. Super easy.
This stroller is attractive. Just the other day a woman walked by and asked what it was and if I liked it. I don't think it gets that much attention in the stores. It's a shame because it's a beautiful stroller.
It's obvious that I love the Contours Options. Being able to go anywhere I want with 3 kids is amazing. My husband was a little annoyed when I came home with a third double stroller. He pushed the Contours Options around the block once and understood why I bought it. We literally bicker over who gets to push it.
Strollers over $200 don't often come with the parent trays or child's trays. There are tons of affordable options on the shelf at babiesrus that I chose from. A few months after I bought the stroller the Contours company release a line of parent trays and child trays that I would like.
Most of the negative reviews I read are annoyed at the size and weight. Just keep in mind that the Contours Options tandem and it's competitors are the minivans of strollers and I LOVE my minivan.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

THis is an awesome stroller. The multiple positions are great for shifting my kids around (twin infants facing me, toddler in front facing out with infant in back facing me, toddler and infant facing each other). The seats are extremely easy to remove and turn around, they recline very simply by pulling up on the handle. The stroller folds up and unfolds pretty easy. Smooth ride. Very few negatives, the cup holder is pretty much useless (always falls off), with the front seat facing out and the back seat facing in you can not recline the back seat very much, the material that cushions the stroller handle tears pretty easily. Overall, this is an awesome stroller. Definately recommend.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

I've been using this stroller for the last month with my 4 and 1 year olds. Below are the pros & cons that I have experienced:
              Pros-
*Best suited for younger or smaller children. Both of my kids are on the top of the growth chart for height. My 4 yr old fits but won't for much longer. In order to use the footrest, his legs have to be bent and his knees are up quite high. He doesn't complain but does look a bit uncomfortable. His head hits the top of the canopy.
*Very easy to manuever. I can easily push this stroller with one hand even with both kids seated. I've tried several double strollers and this is by far the easiest to handle.
*7 seating options. This has been a nice option for us. If we're on a long walk or somewhere my kids will remain in the stroller, I face them toward each other which helps keep them occupied. If we are somewhere that they will be getting in & out, we position them away from each other and each can hop in and out of their seats on their own. If my youngest is napping, I face both forward with my youngest in the back to recline and the oldest up front. Having so many options really is convenient!
*Foot break makes it easy to use, especially if you're wearing sandals.
*Padded handlebar is comfortable to grip.
*Large canopy to block the sun.
*Included car seat adapter works with most infant carriers.
*Straps are easy to adjust and buckles are easy to use.

              Cons-
*No parent console-just the cup holder which comes off easily and sticks out quite far.
*No snack/drink tray for the kids. I would much prefer the lap bar to be replaced with a snack tray. A snack tray can be purchased seperately but I feel for the price, it should be included.
*While the storage compartment is large, depending on the seating configuation, it can be very difficult to access.
*Folding the stroller can be tricky. The front wheels have to be positioned perfectly in order for it to collapse. I have found it easiest to remove both seats and fold the frame by itself.
*Due to the size of the collapsed stroller, this may not work well in a smaller vehicle. I drive a minivan so it isn't a concern for us but something to consider depending on the vehicle you drive.

Overall, this is a great stroller especially for infant twins or parents of younger/smaller children. It is well built and will last for many years. We have received many compliments when out and about!

Disclaimer: I was provided this stroller in exchange for my honest review.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

Very QUICK and easy assembly--directions were well written and diagramming made assembly very intuitive. I put this together in less than 20 minutes while my husband was away.
Brakes--Solid, yet easy on the foot pedal. Many of the strollers on the market today have hard plastic brake mechanisms that can hurt the top of your foot when trying to release them. The bar on the Option stroller seems to distribute the weight evenly making it easier to release the brake from both wheels at the same time. This is another plus--many strollers require releasing the brake on each wheel. I've never seen the point of this and it's more cumbersome.
Size--it's large. With twins still in carriers, I'm not sure this is the best option for us currently. However, once they can ride in the stroller seats provided, I can see this as being our go-to stroller. It's maneuverability is very good and it's not heavy. We also have used a Big Joovy Caboose stroller and though it will seat 3 total, it's frame is very rigid making maneuverability on a walk around the block difficult when turning corners. The frame of the Option is sturdy yet lightweight.
There was some amount of disappointment in the lack of adult accessories on the stroller. There is no console tray for keys or phone, though a plastic clip-on cup holder is included. This seemed to be more of an afterthought and I've been leaving it off as it sticks out past the width of the stroller and catch on things. I'm afraid it will break off. It is just the size of a standard water bottle. There is also no snack trays for the kids in the seats. I'm confident both of these accessories can be purchased in another brand, so not a deal killer.
We have twin infants, so an additional infant car seat adapter would have been nice. Although somewhat inconvenient, the cost is considerably cheaper than other double stroller adapters. At $20, this is very reasonable and it is understandable why the company only includes one.
Huge storage pocket not commonly found on double strollers
Tandem makes maneuverability in between cars in parking lots possible.
Multiple configurations is nice, but if the car seats are hard to remove and turn around on a moment's notice, it serves little purpose. The mechanisms on the Options stroller are very easy to remove, take off, and reposition. Many sore fingers, pulling and straining to switch out the car seat adapter to the toddler seat on other strollers made the ease of this one a very welcome surprise!
Seat shades--more than enough shade to keep the sun off of the child--seems like the shade kept going and going, but easily pushed out of the way too if not needed.
Super nice reclining option for children that are sleeping! To find a tandem stroller that allows both seats to do this is amazing!
Overall, we are loving the stroller. Top features are weight, maneuverability, storage and configuration options.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

With a three year old and one year old, I was looking for a great option to get around. I had previously only used side by side strollers so this was a change. I found this stroller to be wonderful! Contours sent me this stroller to try but all opinions are my own.

              PROS:
              * So many configurations! I love being able to choose which way to turn the seats and it is very easy to change them around.
              * Ease of use. It is easy to push, easy to fold, and easy to configure. I found this stroller much more narrow than a side by side and so it was much easier to navigate in stores and busy streets.
              * Huge storage basket that is easily accessible.
              * Nice size sun-shades.

              CONS:
              * My three year old is considered an average height for his age. Though he fits well in the seat now (and is happy to sit there comfortably), I can see him growing out of the seat within the year since the seat back is not that tall. My older kids have used strollers until around age 5, especially for long walks.
              * Little leg room. In certain configurations, the footrest needs to be lowered in order to have enough legroom and/or for both seats to be lowered all the way.

Overall, this is a wonderful stroller for when you need a double and I highly recommend it!

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

I like this stroller fairly well. I feel like it's a pretty good deal for the cost. We currently use it as our backup and leave it in the car. We also own a City Select double stroller that we use for walking in our neighborhood - this is considerably cheaper, but also not as nice in a lot of aspects.

Bottom line - unless you have twins, you probably won't use a double stroller that often. Out and about, our go-to setup is to wear one of the kids in a baby carrier and let the other one walk or ride in the stroller. Our kiddos are 3 yr and 6 mo. This stroller is great for hauling both kiddos into church though - when I often have several bags. I love it for that.

What I would change about the stroller -
                    1. Folding can be tricky. The wheels have to face forward just right or it gets hung up.
                    2. Not great for outdoor use. It doesn't handle uneven terrain very well. When walking our neighborhood it got hung up on the "lip" from the street to the driveway several times.
                    3. It feels like you're pushing a boat. Definitely feels bigger than my city select.
                    5. The seats are not quite as easy to move around as our City Select, but they're not bad. My complaint on the seats is more that they feel really short. Feel like our 3 yr old (who is on the shorter side) is squished in there.

                    What I do like -
                    1. The breaking system, for a food-system, is pretty easy. I could still do it in flip flops without much trouble.
                    2. The cup holder held up surprisingly well. Walked to Starbucks and back and it didn't fail at all with a grande in there.
                    3. Even though it's big, I can fit it standing in my Odyssey trunk with not too much trouble - just a bit hard to heft in there.
                    4. I like that it has the belly bars included. Both our kids love them.

That all said you probably won't use a double stroller as much as you think, unless you have twins or exercise. This one is a pretty good, in case of emergency one that won't break the bank.

Comments about Kolcraft 1001151 Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Red:

I LOVE the Contours Options Tandem stroller! Let me just say I was a bit skeptical at first. The first thing I wanted to test out was how it really worked with all the different seating options, I didn't see how something so versatile was going to be of great quality and durable, but they proved me wrong. I have a 3 yr old and a 9 month old, and both fit in the stroller wonderfully! The fact that the seats move is one of the best qualities, my 9 month old is getting to the age he wants to see everything, and my 3 yr old has to have a view or he gets upset, with this stroller they both can get an open view without being stuck one behind the other looking at the back of a seat. It was pretty simple to put together, it took my fiance about 15 minutes to put it together, the only thing we had a hard time with at first was figuring out how to move the seats after they were already on, apparently there is a lever in the back of the seats that you just pull up on, and it wasn't listed in the manual where you would expect it to be. I kinda felt like an idiot after I found the lever lol. Ok so moving on, my favorite thing about this stroller, maneuverability! I keep my 3 yr old up front, (mind you he is in the 88th percentile for his height and weight) and I am EASILY able to turn the stroller and push it. You would thing with the brunt of the weight being up front, that it would be harder to turn, but this is not the case. Next subject, comfort. My 9 month old instantly smiled and relaxed and just sat there as I pushed them around! He NEVER does that! He always wants to sit up, leaving over and try to get out of his other stroller, and hates being tied down, but in this stroller he just chillaxes and goes with the flow! Storage, is obvious from the picture listed, it is WONDERFUL and you'll have no problems there, easy to access and I can go shopping knowing I wouldnt have to keep going back and forth to the car to drop off our stuff. Our twins are not here yet but we did fiddle with the car seat adapter to see how it works, our Safety 1st car seat fits, but I will say if you plan on using the car seat adapter a lot and using this as more of a travel system, please make sure your car seat it listed as adaptable with the car seat adapter. All in all this stroller is great and if you are looking for a tandem stroller, I promise you this is it. Some people say it is a little heavy, but being that it is a tandem stroller with a lot of great features, is very durable and made of great quality, you should expect it to have a little weight on it, and it's nothing that discourages me from using it. I love this stroller!

I received this stroller in return for my honest review. This is my honest review, even had I paid for it, my review would still be the same.

I'm so inlove with this stroller!

I saved lots of gift cards and waited for a sale to purchase this stroller. It was so worth the wait! I love the different positions of the seats and the seats are very easy to switch around, I can do it with my baby strapped in! We have been rocking this stroller daily for four months and I am just in love! Glides like a dream, can easily breastfeed and push my toddler. The ONLY thing I wish it had come with is a parent console at the handlebar, however, this is a quick fix with one of several options to choose from in the store. You will need something, the drink holder is very flimsy. We fixed it to permanently house hand sanitizer, can't have too much of that! A great buy, complimented everywhere we go on our stroller. :)
