The Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Wide-Neck 8 oz. Baby Bottles - 3 pk. offer a wonderful feeding experience with innovative vent technology. Dr Brown's bottles use a patented 2-piece internal vent system for your baby's comfort. This system creates positive-pressure flow for vacuum-free feeding that is similar to breastfeeding. The breast milk or formula flows freely without nipple collapse. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the Level One nipple collar through the vent system to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breast milk or formula so oxidation is prevented, thereby maintaining essential vitamins such as C, A and E. The vent system eliminates air bubbles in the formula or milk, which helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. The bottle is completely BPA, PVC, lead and phthalate free for your baby's safety.

Features

2-piece internal vent system

The fully-vented bottle reduces vacuums so your baby can quickly access the milk or formula in a method similar to breastfeeding. This positive-pressure feeding system channels air through the Level One nipple collar to the back of the bottle, keeping it separate you’re your baby's food.

Prevents oxidation of nutrients

By keeping air separate from the milk or formula, the Dr. Brown's bottles reduce oxidation for a nutrient-rich feeding experience. The system helps maintain vitamins C, A and E to keep your baby healthy.

Reduces unpleasant feeding problems

The unique vent system also prevents the ingestion of air bubbles. It eliminates negative pressure and air bubbles to help reduce colic, spit-up, burping and gas.

3-pack

This set comes with 3 bottles so you can always have a Dr. Brown's bottle handy. Keep 1 at home, take 1 on trips or leave 1 in the diaper bag. You'll never be caught unaware with this set.

Iv'e tried em all, the Avent, Born Free, Playtex Ventair, Gerber Nuk, Mam bottles and more, but Nothing and I do mean NOTHING has compared to these. My son gets gas and a lot of air with the other mentioned bottles, but since I quit using the others and am now exclusively using the Dr. Brown's he's so much happier and so am I. They don't leak at all, if you don't fill above the warning line and assemble them correctly! I don't understand other reviewers complaints about leaking- maybe they aren't doing it right, and as far as washing is concerned... Don't you want the best for your baby, because I do and no amount of washing of bottles can be compared to that of an uncomfortable baby!!! The best investment you can make is a happy gas free, spit up free baby is these bottles! If your'e still having a problem with gas, then maybe it's the formula you are using not the bottle. Only the best will do for my baby, how about you?

My child has been using bottles since day one. We use them for both pumped milk and for supplemented formula daily. My lactation consultant said that to switch back and forth between breast and bottle, she suggested using wide mouthed bottles which are more like the mother’s breast. I went out and bought Dr. Browns BPA free and Born Free bottles. I think that both bottles have pros and cons.CONS1. Dr. Browns and Born Free each say that they decrease air during feeding. My child isn't particularly gassy and doesn't really burp much, but still gets gas so neither bottle really solves the problem 100%. Neither seems to be better than the other either. Compared to my experience with Green to Grow and Avent bottles both Dr. Browns and Born Free are better with gas.2. People complain about the parts for both bottles. Dr. Browns requires a little brush to work, or as others have said, you can throw it into the dishwasher. Born Free bottles have two additional pieces as well but they are much easier to clean. During the first month home I was nursing and bottle feeding in 2 hr cycles. By the time I was done with this cycle, I needed to go wash pump parts and bottles and start over again. I didn't want to run the dishwasher all of the time and I wanted to avoid purchasing a million bottles so I had 3 of each kind. As a result, we did a lot of bottle washings. I didn't mind pulling out the little brush for the Dr. Browns bottles but at 3am, it did become a little bit of a pain. My husband would say, the fewer parts the better. If it were up to him he would toss all of the Dr. Browns bottles. If husbands are helping with the wash duty, this might be a consideration.3. When filling the Dr. Browns bottles with formula, if I don't clean the bottles after feeding (just the bottle part) the formula seems to be more difficult to get off then the Born Free. I believe that is because of the two different materials used for the bottles. The Dr. Browns bottles use a plastic that is more like a thick #6 plastic like you would get your soup in from the local deli. The Born Free bottles are more like an old Nalgene plastic but thinner and lighter. In my opinion, the Born Free bottle cleans easier. If you want specifics about the two types of plastics, go to the following link comparison chart: [@] I’ve had both types of bottles for almost 4 months. I also have one small BPA Dr. Brown’s bottle where the plastic is different than the BPA Free version. I have to say that after 4 months, one of my 3 BPA Free Dr. Brown’s bottles is leaking. It hasn’t always been this way and it’s not due to too much liquid since I never have more than 4 oz in an 8 oz. bottle. I don’t have this problem with the other two bottles yet and may never and I’ve never had this problem with the Born Free bottles or the BPA Dr. Browns bottle. I do believe it’s because of the material used with the Dr. Browns bottle and I normally would think that it’s just a fluke but I’ve read that many others have had the same problem. The liquid comes out from under the ring where the ring meets the bottle.5. Born Free Bottles are more expensive. This is true. But this con I believe is also a pro. See the pro section below.NEUTRAL1. Both bottles use the same nipples, at least that is what it appears to me and are often confused when re-assembling bottles. The nipples are fine, no complaints.2. Both tops on the bottles are o.k. The Dr. Browns bottle has three little holes in the top. I’m not sure why that is but there’s got to be a reason. I just worry that by storing a pre-assembled bottle in the fridge (without the little white disk) that the milk or formula will take on the smells from the fridge. I just use the white disks to avoid a possible prob.PROS1. Both bottles are quality bottles and are available at many stores in case you need parts.2. If you like a lighter feeling bottle then go with Dr. Browns. If you like a little heavier feeling bottle go with Born Free (there’s something for everyone out there)! If neither bottle weight works for you, go with the glass bottles that both have.3. Both bottles are available in wide neck. Dr. Browns is also available in standard width.4. Born Free bottles can be converted into a drinking cup. If you’re like me and want to make sure that everything gets used to the max, no waste, then Born Free bottles are for you. Though they’re more money initially, they even out when you realize that you can convert them to training cups and drinking cups. [...] I just really love using something to its fullest and not having to have a million bottles and cups lying around.5. If you want to pump right into the bottle, I don’t know about Dr. Browns wide necks but Born Free Bottles have an adaptor available on their website to allow you to do this. I can’t speak to it.All in all, neither bottle is perfect. One is more expensive but can be converted and has fewer parts to clean but replacement parts are more expensive. The other is less expensive but seems to leak for some people, has more parts to clean but replacement parts are cheaper. I always tell friends, don’t buy too many bottles initially because you don’t know what will work for you. These are the two that we use and we like them both but neither is perfect.

Comments about Handi Craft Dr. Brown's Wide Polypropylene Bottles 3-Pack - 8 oz:

I didn't like this bottle because,
    - has too many parts, and because of that it is time consuming to wash and put together.
    - it leaks....quite a bit.
    - the nipple caused the milk to run out from the side of his mouth while drinking. At first I thought my son was just being lazy. Then I got him a different bottle and no milk ran out.
    - the biggest con about it is the fact that its supposed to help with spit up colic and fussiness but with my son it didn't help him at all.

The only thing I did like about it is that the nipple didn't collapse.

These bottles are not so bad. I have the regular Dr.Browns and love them. There maybe lots of parts to clean in all of them but it is worth it for my son. I just do not like the occational leakage. The widemouth bottle leaks for some reason when held a certain way or on a certain side even when closed correctly. Other than that I cannot complain. This bottles stand up to a lot of things and my son loves to drink from them.

I bought this brand thinking that it would be easier for my baby to hold onto, but I was so wrong! Not only is it difficult to hold onto when its empty, but it becomes too heavy for the baby to hold when you fill it up with milk or formula. SECOND, it leaks!! I have no idea why, but after a few weeks of use, the bottles begin to leak...a lot!
THREE, the extra parts are not worth it when it comes to the overall need.

I wish I would have known sooner or before buying them. Sticking to the basic bottles are a lot better than following for the hype of these bottles.

Comments about Handi Craft Dr. Brown's Wide Polypropylene Bottles 3-Pack - 8 oz:

My son is now 9 months old and we have been using these bottle since he was about a month old. We've used them for both breastmilk and formula.

I know some people complain about them leaking, but I figured out why they sometimes leak for us. If you have the bottle all assembled, then squeeze the nipple (something other than the baby sucking), it draws liquid up into the parts inside and it creates an imbalance. The liquid needs to go somewhere, so they leak. 99% of the time these bottles do not leak.

I like the wide bottles because the nipple is more like a mothers breast which was helpful in the beginning since I was breast feeding.

These bottles do have a couple extra parts, but neither my husband or I have a major issue with this.

The only thing they could improve on is the oz markings. They are clear like the rest of the bottle, just raised so they are very hard to see unless you hold the bottle right up to your eyes.

My sister, sister-in-law and myself all use dr. browns bottles and like them a lot.

We bought these bottles because our friend recommends that this brand is the best after they tried several brand name bottles. However, the bottles started to leak after only one week use. Initially I think that I might not fasten the cap so the milk leaked everywhere when I prepared baby's formula, but it still leaked like crazy even after I made sure that the cap the fastened and the parts are assembled securely. I feel so disapointed about it....not recommend

After My oldest daughter now 7 was about 2 months old after going through every type of bottle on the market my sister suggested Dr. Brown. I didn't listen(she didn't have kids and I didn't care what her bestfriend did) Well about 2 weeks later when I was up with a colicy baby at 2 am and I had to be up for work at 5. I changed my mind. I went and got Dr.Brown that afternoon. That evening she slept and so did I, I never looked back. Dr Brown kept me from pulling all my hair out! yes the things are not super easy to clean. Ok, I bought several 3 packs and would just deal with cost, because it was worth it..Happy baby happy mommy! With my 2nd daughter my husband didn't want to spend the money or the time to clean them so we went for a cheaper bottle. Yeah for about 3 weeks. She had GERD and it was awful. Switched to DrBrown and it really helped! Hubby got use to washing all the parts , yes it's a little annoying and I wish there was a faster way but really when it comes down to it, they work and cleaning them is just part of the deal. We just got a few at a time. We never had a problem with leaking, as long as hubby rememberd not to screw on the ring too tight.. We love them and plan on using them with #3 in just a few weeks. We have already started stocking up on them a few months ago so we didn't have to deal with the cost all at once. I agree with a few others about the numbers coming off. Id like to see them in the plasit. would make it much easier at 3 am to see the numbers!
