My 8 year olds AND my eldest who just happens to be a big kid at 20 all sat down to check this out. They couldn't WAIT to crack open the box & try family game night together! It's hard finding something everyone can play together given my kids sensory disorder issues, not to mention how one has Autism, but this game seemed to fit the bill perfectly: Everyone can play together!

I THOUGHT my 20yr old would be responsible for assembly, but as it turns out, the 8yr olds were easily able to attach the arms easily even with their motor deficits which is a HUGE plus (something they can play & do by themselves, hooray!) The unit DOES require a C battery, so make sure and have a pack on hand before showing the game to the kids!

First, be prepared for molding game pieces, which is part of the fun! There are little molds for shaping pieces at each station & you get a variety of types to choose from! Part of the fun is seeing which shape works best with target practice!

The object of the game is to launch the little molded bits of play doh into the rotating cup which also bounces a bit. Be careful not to hit under the cup so that it doesn't get stuck & make clicky noises! My eldest had to do a bit of troubleshooting at first, but quickly discovered a stray piece of doh as the culprit & fixed it easily enough.

Game play does take a bit of practice and can get frustrating IF your kids are perfectionists. If you go into it explaining ahead of time that it DOES take practice & that part of the fun is "missing" the target, they may have more fun & avoid frustration! You can also give them a little notepad to keep tabs on which shapes work the best which will give them more of a "science project" style game play, but perhaps keep the perfectionists problems from surfacing! This worked for us!

All in all, this is a cute FUN little game that everyone can play/join in on in the family. We ALL had a blast playing together and the best part is that all of my kids were on a level playing field together for once which is so hard to do with our special needs traits much of the time. This game allowed everyone to have fun without anyone feeling as if they were playing a "baby game" or not being able to tolerate the obvious "losing" problems that often come up.

This game does encourage team work and it's really funny and engaging (what other game allows you to actually throw play doh at each other basically?) This would make a GREAT sibling or group gift for families with more than one child that perhaps doesn't always get to play games together!

I am a BzzAgent and received this game for free from Hasbro to review and try out as part of a campaign. #GotItFree #HasbroGamingGift

I recently received this product for free from Hasbro in exchange for a review. This game was the one I was most excited to receive because I thought my 4 year old twins would love it.....I was quickly disappointed.

First out of the box, it takes some assembly....this was the easy part. We got it out, set it up and started following the directions.

In the directions, it indicates that you are supposed to "take 10 small marble sized pieces of play doh" before beginning the game. Then you are supposed to place the "marble sized piece" on the launch pad and use the mold to make it into a ball......this was a little misleading! I don't know about you, but I've never seen "marble sized balls" come in the canister of play doh.....so when I was on that step I was having my kids roll up 10 balls, only to turn around and two steps later in the directions find out I could use the mold to make the balls. This would have saved a lot of time if they would have just combined those two steps!

The next problem we encountered was the battery. There was not a battery included, so I had to take the game apart to turn it over to insert the battery. The problem.....the screw was stripped so it took quite a while for me to get the compartment open to place the battery.
Once we finally had power, and turned the machine on, we FINALLY began to play. The fun lasted for about 15 minutes before the "Orange Guy" can that you are supposed to launch your play doh into, began catching. It was minimal at first, but on every rotation it just became more noticeable, until after about 15 minutes it was sticking for several seconds in the same spot. This defect pretty much made the game a bust, because it provides an unfair advantage to the player who it is facing when it begins catching.....and it's frustrating to the other players. Fortunately, I only have two children, so we modified the game, and mom moved to the spot that was catching and "pretended" to miss all of her shots so we could continue playing.

The other minor detail I would change about the directions is not making 10 balls to launch.
There is no point in having this many balls when the entire goal of the game is to be the first player to launch 3 balls into "orange guy". Then all the balls are removed and you start another game. We cut ours in half to 5, just in case we launch one across the room and don't have time to retrieve it while game is in play.

Overall, I was disappointed.....

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Play-Doh Launch Game:

Play-Doh was something I grew up with as a child. I am now a 30 year old parent and my kids enjoy this excellent and creative activity. How could you make Play-Dough better? Let me tell you how, Play-Doh Launch Game by Hasbro. Hasbro was generous to let me keep and test this new, exciting game so I can tell you first hand this is a must have everyone.
First each player picks a color. You make ten play dough balls the size of marbles so you will be ready to mold them and launch. Turn the Orange Guy on by flipping the switch and watch him come to life. His hands cover and uncover the bucket where you want to land your pieces. How do you launch you ask? Grab your marbles and place it on the launch pad, press the molding lever and it will mold into a perfect ball. Now aim for the bucket, and press the launch button.
This not only gives the children structured fun, but it also challenges them and keeps them entertained. Children are
learning patience, hand eye coordination, interacting with others, and learning to focus on a task! I loved playing this game with
my children, and don't tell them but once they went to bed the adults challenged each other to a few rounds!
Play dough usually ends up being eaten at my house, or left out. Let me tell you since we have owned this game my children take care of the Play-Doh provided because they know we need it to feed a hungry Orange Guy!

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Play-Doh Launch Game:

My boys 2 and 7 think Play Doh time should be a daily activity so it was no surprise that this game was a hit. We received it free via BzzAgent and Hasbro games. I didn't realize it needed batteries so when first played it was without the batteries which was just as much fun for them. Even more fun after the batteries brought the can guy to life. I liked that when they got bored with the game there were other molds and activities they could do and the play continued. It comes with three separate stations so you don't have to move it around and there where no black eyes given because someone didn't want to share. It comes with three tubs of three different colors play doh. This is a generous amount and it's not necessary to purchase more. My 2 year old enjoyed this game more than my 7 year old but we experience very loud giggling from both boys during launch time...not to be mistaken for lunch time. Great game for all ages, multipurpose and easy clean up.

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Play-Doh Launch Game:

I received this product for free as a BzzAgent. My youngest really likes it. She's four, almost five. You make play-doh shaped balls, and use your "launcher" to get them in the spinning trash can. It keeps her busy for a little while and she's pretty good at timing it just right to get the ball in. It's really limited to younger kids though. My older ones were bored with it quickly. But compared to a lot of play-doh games that make a mess this one is really pretty clean and easy! Not shoving hardened playdoh out of small spaces :)

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Play-Doh Launch Game:

This game is fun! It's easy to put together and had us laughing in minutes. We're a competitive family and this brought that out in a good way. We played this with our 8yr. old and just the fact that you're flinging Play Doh into the moving can that has eyes and arms is fun alone. Then trying to get three in before your Mom and Dad and winning is even better! Our 5 and 3yr. olds liked it too. They mostly liked using the small Play Doh forms on the game to make things like snails, flowers, icecream cones ect. Yes, it can get a little messy flinging Play Doh, but it doesn't go flying so far that it will be a problem. And it's totally worth the memories you will make with your kids. You can control the amount of Play Doh used if you prefer to make sure a mess isn't made at all. We didn't experience any problems with it running correctly. I wouldn't have bought this on my own, but I recieved it free from BzzAgent to try. I'm so glad we got to try it and now that I know I would definitely buy it!

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Play-Doh Launch Game:

I brought this game to a play date of 5 year old boys - I figured it would be a perfect game in between the wrestling and other dangerous activities these kids get into. As soon as the kids saw the box they were excited. Play doh - perfect - mixed with a battery operated spinning guy - awesome! I think the idea of this game is okay but the execution just isn't very good. The guy that you're supposed to shoot the play doh into kept getting stuck, making it impossible to actually get the play doh in his head. When it did work, it seemed to be fun for a short while. They played for a total of 15 minutes and then just started using the play doh to make whatever they wanted. Overall, I would not recommend this toy.

I received this game for free from Hasbro. Although the product was free all of the thoughts and opinions are my own.

My little ones have always been fans of Play Doh so when I recieved the Play Doh Launch Game free from Hasbro & BzzAgent I was excited to see what the kids thought. There's a little assembly required also a C battery (not included..we just raided a flashlight)..then we molded marble sized balls of Play-Doh & were ready to play. The object of the game is to launch the balls into a gyrating can of Play-Doh with a lid that flips located in the center of the board...not so easy. The kids loved the flying balls & it was great to see them so into it. I didn't like that the game has to be broken down completly inorder to go back in the box..but it's quick enough to do. Overall I know we will be playing this game on many a cold Vermont evening...my daughter told me the next time we play she will be using "girl colored" Play-Doh from her own personal stash!

We received this game from Hasbro for free and I gave this game to my 4 & 5 years old to try it out as part of a Bzz campaign I agreed to. The packaging is very kid friendly and they were so excited to give it a try right away. There was a small amount of assembly required but nothing too discouraging, It does require batteries so make sure you have some on hand. Once we had it put together we sat down and played it for at least an hour straight the kids got the biggest kick out of the little garbage can figure, not too mention that for the first time ever mom was actually ok with playdoh being launched here, there and everywhere! It definitely made it in the trash can less than it did everywhere else lol! My 10 year old was curious to what we were doing and he did join in the fun for a little bit but he certainly wasn't into it as much as my younger ones were. We had a sleep over with the cousins and it was one of the first things they asked to play which made me happy that they choose this over a video game. I would say all in all this makes a great game for 4-8 years old but maybe not something an older child will enjoy as much.

Normally when I think about play dough I think about the mess afterwards... However not the case. It takes a child favorite past time and makes its into a family fun night. My kids all got along and played- its sometimes a little tricky to get it in- but its over all fine. After a while the kids got board and we moved on- however its great to pull out every once in a while for some laughts

This game had my girls laughing and playing together for hours. Not only did they enjoy launching the Play-doh through the air, they like using the molds that came on the Play-Doh Launcher.

My daughter had a friend over from school and she asked me to get the game down because her friend hadn't played it. They both love it.

I did have issues with the little Play-Doh man from time to time not moving like he should (he would get stuck).
