The classic Little Tikes Ride & Rescue Cozy Coupe is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a face lift! Foot-powered fire truck has an electronic microphone with flashing lights and 7 siren sound patterns. It has a removable floor, so the child can either use footpower or the adult can push the car. Little Tikes Ride & Rescue Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Edition includes a reflective light bar, high seat back, rear storage, caster front wheels, working door and horn and clicking key. The driver's side door has an optional lock and the front wheels can move 360 degrees.

This is a great toy, my parents bought this for my son for his 1st birthday. HE LOVES IT!! They got it becasue it is something he'll be able to use for a few years. It's great becasue of the removable floorboard so while his legs short we and he's not really walking we can push him around in it.
The Cons: You need a drill to put this together, not a screwdriver. Now, i read the reviews and they say difficult to put together, that's why I say you need a drill. We had it together in less than an hour. Another con is that in the description and on the box it says "lights and sounds" Well, that lead us to believe that the "lights" on top of the car lights up, they do not - huge bummer! the only thing that makes sounds and lights is the little walkie/talkie/radio thing in the car - which does not come with batteries. So over all a good purchase, little tikes needs to be more clear in their packaging.

I'm a die-hard DIYer and I found this product difficult to assemble.

Several instruction steps lent themselves to errors or were extremely difficult to perform. Step #8 could have been done better. Step #12 - it took way too many tries and way too much effort to install the front roof supports. Step #18 - it was almost impossible to get my hand and screwdriver in the cup holder to turn the screws ... and I have small hands.

I thought that there would be better instructions available on the manufacturer's website. Unfortunately, there are NO instructions for this specific (30th Anniversary) model. The instructions on the manufacturer's website are for similar models but are dated (older). The instructions for the 400T model is dated 10/2005. The instruction that came with the product is dated 01/2009.

The product description on the manufacturer's website said that this model has a "Moving, clicking ignition switch". THE PRODUCT DOES NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE!

My daughter purchased this as a gift. After reading the reviews on the manufacturer's websie and seeing that everyone (10 out of 11 reviews) complained about how difficult it was to assemble, she asked me (her dad) to put it together. That was a wise decision. Had her good friends had to assemble it, I think they would have ended their friendship.

I had purchased one of these about 7 years ago when my daughter was little and she loved it...I wish I had kept it..but I had sold it...so now I have a little boy and he just turned one..so I bought him one. First of all..these are HALF the size of the old ones..for probably abuot 20 dollars more...and this one keeps falling apart..so my husband will be gorilla gluing it. Like I said..my son loves it..but Im disappointed that they downsized it and raised the price.

I wish I had bought this when my son was younger, with the removable bottom it would have been great to push him around in for a long time. He still can't manuever himself in it, but loves to climb in and out, honk the horn, steer, and push the buttons for the siren, and loves to tell other people to push him. BEST toy!

Also, putting it together was no beg deal according to my husband, so don't let those reviews discourage you from purchasing it. Honestly, I am glad the parts are tight fitting because it stays together well. (so far, we've has it about a month)

The car is adorable, my Grandson loves getting in and out of the door and sounding the siren! BUT, have the store assemble it for you! My husband (who is very mechanically inclined) and I sweated and nearly lost our minds trying to assemble it. The on line video is a joke, it does not go together easily!

Awesome first birthday present. Son loves it, he is constantly in and out of the cab pretending to drive. Only downfall was having to assemble it with kids tugging at all of the parts. Great once assembled, but I suggest doing this before the kids are involved.

My son loves his chief's car as my husband calls it. We us it both inside and out. He's only a year old so I love that it has a floor board that I can put in when I push him around outside. He loves the little radio which makes the siren sound. I wish the light bar was real lights and not just reflective. But it's a great little car! I was concerned because other reviewers said how hard it was to put together and it took so long. But it took my husband maybe 45 minutes and he said it was pretty easy. No regrets here.

My son LOVES his firetruck! He loves pushing it around and being pushed around inside of it. He is only 12 months old so now we keep the floor board in.
Assembling it was easy as we followed the instructions off of the Little Tikes website. The only part that was REALLY hard was putting the two red front "support" posts in. I do not know if ours were a deffect but they were really hard to get in, but it was all worth it!

I read a lot of reviews on this product to make sure it was the one I wanted. Most reviews said it was difficult to put together. I didn't find this to be the case. Like anything else, if you have the right tools, the job is easier. We used a power drill to screw in the screws. But the directions were clear and if you have put together things before, this car wasn't bad at all. Plus, my 1 year old AND 4 year old LOVE it! And any kid that comes to my house as well. This car is a kid magnet!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
