Really nice mobile, great colors and mirrors to grab baby's attention, but... the wooden arm doesn't attach properly to our crib because it screws on between the side rails - our crib has a wider top ledge that prevents the arm from hanging properly. We decided to ditch the wooden arm and hang the mobile from the ceiling above the crib with invisible fishing wire and it looks great! Even spins on it's own now. Very cute!

It works great and is wonderfully eye catching to an infant but the lack of a MOBILE that is actually MOBILE is kind of disapointing. I would not have expected to pay more than 25 dollars for one that doesnt move. The colors are great stimuli for baby but other than that its really just "there". I prefer interactive toys.

I purchased this for my grandson because of the cute design and bright colors. It really is beautiful and attracts his attention. However, the lack of a mechanism to move it in circles is a real shortcoming. I ended up getting another mobile at a tag sale and using the windup mechanism from that one with this mobile. NOW it's perfect!!! For an expensive mobile, it was a surprise to find that it didn't come with a windup or battery mechanism.

We first bought a mobile for our little girl that spun around, played music, made noise and, generally, drove her insane. I wanted this mobile precisely because it was just something beautiful for her to look at as she peacefully drifts off to sleep and something comforting to see if/when she wakes in the middle of the night. She has plenty of noise making, twirling toys to entertain her during the day. And as for music, I'd much rather just play a good CD for her.

The carousel piece with the attached animals is gorgeous. The colors are vivid, there are mirrors on the bottom of the carousel, the craftsmanship is of high quality. BUT the piece from which the carousel hangs from is a total [*]. It is made from wood, very unstable, it does NOT spin, does NOT play any music, just hangs there, and it's ugly. So what I did, I attached the carousel to another mobile crane that spins, and it works ok. I don't understand why they would design such a beautiful mobile, but provide a cheap wooden arm for it, making it useless.
