Product Description

There are times when your child's diet may not be giving him everything he needs. Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron is the ideal vitamin supplement.

Founded over 100 years ago by Edward Mead Johnson, one of the original founders of Johnson and Johnson, the Mead Johnson company produces more than 70 different products that are distributed in over 50 countries worldwide. Mead Johnson produces baby formula, vitamin and specialty nutritional supplements including Enfamil. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil baby formula has undergone several significant changes since it was invented. Each change brings Enfamil baby formula nutritionally closer to breast milk.

Edward Mead founded Mead Johnson because he wanted to make products to help people live healthier lives. After much research, Edward Mead and his son Lambert discovered a way to manufacture nutrient-rich baby food formula for infants who didnt have access to breast milk. This eventually became Enfamil baby formula.

Mead Johnson's global operations center and U.S. regional office is located in Evansville, Indiana.

My 3 yr old is autistic and has a limited diet due to her severe sensory issues. I mix this in her morning milk. She doesn't taste a difference and I feel so much better about her getting the nutrients her body needs to grow. I've actually used this since she was an infant. I'm hoping Enfamil will go back to the dropper as the syringe is not convenient. I understand always trying new things to improve and some things do not work out well. This syringe is 1 of them.

My toddler takes this easily which I appreciate since he is a very picky eater. However, I went to buy a new bottle today and noticed that it contains carmel colour. Needless to say I did not buy a new bottle and will no longer buy this product. It is completely unnecessary to add artificial colouring to a baby/toddler multi-vit.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

My son stands up and opens his mouth for his vitamins! We give them to him in his bath usually, because it does stain and sometimes a little gets out. But, he likes it. We are giving it to him on our doctor's recommendation because despite being a good eater, was a little low on iron at 9 months. He's almost 13 months now and likes his vitamins.

Terrible

By Gurululu

from Fanwood, Nj

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

My 11 month infant became anemic after a bad virus. He takes medicine with not problem. But I fought with him for weeks to take this. All of our clithes event are ruined and now he cringes when he sees a medicine dropper because the taste is so bad. This is unacceptable in a day in age when everything on the market tastes great and they can't make a product needed, better tasting

Bad taste and smell

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

Is there anyway you can improve the taste?

My baby is breast fed during the day and gets a bottle of pumped milk at bedtime. I add this to my baby's bottle per the doctor's instructions. Yes, it does stain but that's not my biggest issue with it.

1. It has a terrible smell.
2. My baby really hates the taste.

I have wasted so much of my precious and hard earned breast milk because my baby just can't endure the taste. She certainly tries because she wants the milk, but she just can't stand it. In order to get her to tolerate the taste, I have to mix it with at least 4 ounces of milk. If she eats a fair amount of solids at dinner, she never wants a bottle that big. So that means she not getting the full dose of iron and my precious milk is down the drain.

There has to be another way...or a different product. I'm going to start searching.

I used tri vi sol and poly vi sol when my daughter was an infant. I don't think it tastes pleasant but she loves it, she is two and now she reminds me to give her her vitamins in the morning. She has never gotten sick, not even a cold. I credit it to these vitamins. As long as she takes it I will continue to give them to her. I think its a great product.

I started giving this to my daughter at 1 year. I watch what she eats and noticed almost nothing has any appreciable amount of Iron. I mix it with her milk and she doesn't seem to notice the taste. Never tried straight like others. It does smell bad.
It used to have a cap dropper. Now it has an included syringe. Its not as convenient. Its also messy as you now have a dirty syringe to rince each time. I am also in the medical profession.
