Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song provides an interactive and fun way to explore color and music. Give children the 8 Crayola Washable Triangular Crayons - designed to give little hands more control - and watch their faces light up when they hear the sounds of swing, salsa, country and rock tunes that they create simply by how fast or slow they color.

The beat goes on as toddlers push 4 buttons that will layer the sounds of a trumpet, drum, piano and guitar over the musical rhythms. The music plays to the speed of the scribble, so coloring fast increases the tempo and coloring slowly slows it down.

There's no telling where the music and their imaginations will take pint-sized Picassos as they move to their own groove. What better way to begin a lifelong love of art and music!

Features

Add instrument sounds

Push 1 of the 4 instrument-shaped buttons to layer the sounds of a trumpet, drum, piano and guitar over the musical rhythms. Your artist can control the tempo of the music by scribbling faster to make the music speed up and scribbling slower to slow it down.

Take the music with you

Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song comes with 8 Crayola Washable Triangular Crayons, 3 sheets of paper, an 8-1/2" x 11" drawing surface with storage space underneath, clips to hold the paper in place and a handle for easy portability - perfect for bringing the musical coloring fun anywhere.

Description

Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song helps build toddlers' creativity, confidence and independence through creative experiences. Helps develop fine and gross motor skills. Allows toddler to create original music with their scribbles. Music will change based on speed of coloring, the faster you scribble .. the faster the song. Four instrument buttons (piano, banjo, trumpet or drum) can be activated to layer in sounds and create unique music. Plays 4 original songs: salsa, rock, swing & country. included!

Combining Picasso and Miles Davis, tots can strike up a band and create their own tunes while exploring their first artistic expressions. Toddlers can mix sounds from a piano, banjo, trumpet and drum, while switching between different musical styles such as salsa, rock, swing and country. Built-in storage for eight triangular crayons allows kids to take their masterpiece-making-band on road trips.

From its earliest beginnings, Crayola has been a color company. Crayola came into being when cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith took over Edwin's father's pigment business in 1885. More than 120 years later, color - along with creativity, learning and most of all, fun - is the hallmark of Crayola's company. Crayola has called Easton, Pennsylvania its home since the early 1900s. Today, the Crayola's world headquarters and major manufacturing facilities are located there. And downtown Easton is the home of The Crayola FACTORY, a one-of-a-kind celebration of creative fun for everyone. In 1984, Crayola became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hallmark Cards and has since Crayola has played the lead role in Hallmark's personal development strategies.

Comments about Crayola 1005900 Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:

It's cute, but not worth the money. Luckily, I got this as a gift for my son and didn't spend the money myself. He seems to like it, but like some other moms said on here, I expected a little more from Crayola. It really is just a musical board that holds paper...and not that well may I add. Oh well, that was short lived.

Really this is just a paper holder that plays music...the music will speed up when you draw faster but it's not that exciting or noticable
...gave to my 21 month old for christmas- less than a month ago-- it is the first thing to make it to the I'm over it pile-I did like that the music was kinda Jazzy with different instrament sounds - but my son didn't get it-really had higher hopes from a Crayola product-I also purchased these as gifts for other children and I am a it embarassed now-

Comments about Crayola 1005900 Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:

This is really just a color pad that plays music. There is no way to make the music go faster unless you press hard and scribble as fast as you can. Of course that means your little one uses the paper up right away and goes through 10 sheets rather fast. Just the scribbling makes the paper come off the board but the music plays even if no paper is in, so you can move your fingers around an empty board to make it speed up. We bought it for our 2 year old Grand daughter but wouldn't buy it again.

Comments about Crayola 1005900 Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:

Very pointless. Music plays ALL the time anyway. All it does is speed up if they color REALLY fast. It is gonna play at regular speed any way. My toddler just presses the instrument buttons for very little entertainment. Paper has holding slots at top & sides, NOT at bottom so paper usually slides out. Total waste of money.

Comments about Crayola 1005900 Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:

It is light weight and sturdy. The music is delightful and easy to access with little fingers. Although, we wished that it came with more paper, any type of paper seems to work just fine and the children ntce very quickly the connection between the music and the fast and slow strokes of their sturdy crayons.

Comments about Crayola 1005900 Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song:

my son got this toy for xmas he does love to color on it because he loves to color but I thought the music was suppose to play faster or slower as he colored and it doesn't the music is very low even with new batteries and at the highest setting. He does enjoy the extra instrumental buttons and the sound from them is pretty good..overall this toy is nice for a kid that loves to color and draw with music playing in the background

Neither I nor my 1 and 3 year old sons was impressed with this, it is a bit boring, they are more entertained by a regular coloring book. Would not buy again or recommend. This will most likely be given away or donated.

Great product. Keeps little hands busy. Regular computer paper fits in it for refilling and the tray hold any type of crayon, but you can buy refills of the triangular crayons if you want. My 2 year old really enjoys this toy!
