I personally think the Duplo speciality sets are generally overpriced. This one isn't so bad. For [$], you get four animals (lion cub, polar bear, elephant, and giraffe), a zookeeper, 2 flower blocks, a grass block, a clear blue block (looks like water), and around ten other regular duplos. Great for pretend play and works well with other Duplos. The animals easily stick onto the blocks.

My son is three and wanted the Duplo Zoo. This was a great starter for him rather than buying the expensive full Zoo. He has several other general duplo building sets so he is constantly building cages, trains, etc. with the normal building pieces for his animals!

We bought this to complement our son's basic Duplo blocks, and it is a great toy. He is one year and likes to take apart the blocks and bang them together, and we anticipate many more years of fun with these toys as he gets bigger. This is also a better bargain than many similarly-price Duplo sets that have fewer animals and blocks in them.

Just bought this for my one year old and he absolutely adores it! Couldn't stop playing with it. His older brother and sister enjoy playing with it too even though they are not in the 2-5 year age range. Lego Duplos are versatile and fun, and they appeal to all ages. The older kids use their creativity and the little one is learning manual dexterity. I'm always looking for things all 3 of my kids can do together with their large age difference, and this toy is one of them. Plus, all the different sets mix and match for greater story possibilities! The toy is well made and these will last for the grandchildren someday. The only thing I'd change is the price. They're a bit spendy, but still worth it. [...]Get the real LEGOs and you'll be glad.

This is one of the only good deals on a Duplo set with animals. My daughter (1 1/2) loves the little creatures.

For other specialty sets I've had to look for sales and special deals, but this has a good price to begin with.
