One of the best Christmas gifts we bought. Our 6 and 5 year olds loved this gift more than any other. We are not using all of the parts the way the game is supposed to be played (skipping the design wheel for example), but the girls are loving drawing and designing their own clothes. I went on-line and found some more of the sketch-pad designs, so they have been working hard for a week now!!! Really a great item.

I bought this on a whim for my eight year old daughter last christmas (needed another gift) and she has spent many hours having fun with it over the course of the year-her cousin and her even started a notebook with outfits they created. Would definately reccommend. It seems large at first but you can store all the items neatly together in a large pendaflex folder or large ziplock bag.

I purchased this kit for my 12 year old daughter. The sketch pages were good, but the instructions for sewing a dress for the mannequin were a little difficult and not all the supplies that were used were included in the kit. I do not see how an 8 year old would be able to do it.

HOURS of fun. VERY creative MIND STIMULATING. great for design interested kids! Not at all messy, just a small part of the entire kits is crafty. My 8 yr old does JUST fine with it. Before the design papers ran out, I copied extras. My daughter and her friends went thru the pads that came with the set very quickly. The spinner gave the kids an excellent challenge to design within varied recommendations based on what the spinner landed on. Lots of giggles on some of the challenges!. You don't have to watch or even know project runway to have fun with this if your child/teen loves design, clothes, fashion and creativity!

I even had fun designing some!

My 11 year old daughter got this yesterday as an early Christmas present from her g-ma. She loves it and so do I...it's something we can do together. If your daughter is stylish, creative and likes to draw...get this!
I don't think it's messy at all but there are lots of little things you will have to keep organized.
