I got this for my 3 year old boy... he learned how to play it in a day or two. Then after the end of a week he learned 12 letters! I quized him with old fashioned flash cards and was impressed at how much he had learned from this game. He did quickly out growit but we still go back to it at a dr.s visit or a car ride. He loves the bubble poppers game! And that is where he seemed to learn the letters fast!

I bought this for my son for Christmas who just turned 2. He learned all his ABCs already and I got this to help reinforce his learning, plus to keep him off my Blackberry! After about a month I heard him say "p - puh, f - ef" as he played with his letter magnets on the fridge. It was such a nice surprise to see he learned something from this device!

There's this fun game called The Bubble Game where you have to press the letter that is trapped in a bubble. I assisted him for a while since he obviously wouldn't know the QWERTY key locations. I figured it would take 3-6 months before he could be good at it. I had another pleasant suprise about 3 weeks later- he picked up most if not all the keys!

He started learning the Map Game and is beginning to understand how the arrow keys work. He hasn't picked up the other pretend games yet like the Calendar or Text Messaging. Maybe those concepts are too much for a 2 year old but you never know. Kids are sponges at this age.

Only con is the LCD screen is a little hard to read in low light. In the evening I have him sit near a lamp to help him read the screen.

Item was purchased for 3 girls all around the age of 4. All the girls have spent a reasonable amount of time with this toy, and enjoy the games and Scout.

My 2.5y/o enjoys pressing the letters and following the commands. It keeps him occupied in the car also. Would be nice if the backlit was in color. But it's a good learning tool.

We got this for our 4 year old, he loves it, Scout is so cute. We love the fact that we can have our boys "grow up" with Scout.

My daughter loves this toy she got two for christmas, usually her double toys go to grandmas, but since I am not 100% satisfied we will only be keeping one and exchanging the other for another education game.

The screen is very hard to see. They should have made it in color. Although, my daughter loves the toy and actually interacts with it, she can only play with it if it is in direct sunlight. You can barely see what is on the screen.

Would have been better also if it had lowercase letters. I never understood why capital letters were taught first, when we write solely in lowercase letters!

Its a good product with flaws that hopefully they can improve in the future.

While the premise of this toy is good, the graphics are terrible. I can see my refelection in the screen better than I can the little dog.

My daughter keeps tilting the toy, trying to see what is on the screen. It's very frustrating and poorly designed. Backlighting might have helped.

I called the company and the customer service rep first told me to adjust the contrast, using the "sunshine button" ( there isn't a "sunshine button" on this item, which I pointed out to her. ) She then said, "Oh. Well, get new batteries and that will help."

Christmas morning, my husband went out to buy new batteries and it made absolutley no difference whatsoever.

My opinion is that until they improve the graphics ( or at least make it possible to at least SEE what is on the screen ) skip this toy.

I loved this toy from the moment I picked it up at the store! My three year old is picking up letter sounds easily from playing with it. She never wants to put "Scout" down! Just wish there was a backlight on the screen!

I got this for my 2year old and let him try in store loves it.. plus with many blackberry's around we hope this keeps him off our phones
