I bought this because I loved the idea that I could take my childrens temps while they were sleeping. I find this to be a VERY unrealiable product. Within second of take her temp 2x I got a different temp reading of 15 degrees. Then using our other therometer it showed it was off my 10 or more degrees. Very unsatisfied with it and even more unhappy that I paid over $50

I just got this last night because it's so hard taking my 14 month old sons temp! At first it took a little while to get the hang of it then I read the instructions thoroughly & it seemed to give more accurate readings. Today it's seems to be working really good. When I double check a temp it'll show the same reading. I just think you have to know exactly how to use this thing for it to be accurate! I love using it:)

I have had this thermometer for over a year and a half. I loved the idea of it at first, especially the prospect of being able to check my son's temp in the middle of the night while he's sleeping. However, I've found that the readings are slightly less than reliable. The first reading is typically low, and I have to take several more readings in order to "zero in" on the correct temp. Plus, it must remain in contact with the forehead for several seconds before giving a reading. Between the timing required for the scans, and the repeated scans, it's is much more invasive than I had hoped and sort of defeats the purpose of the midnight readings. When I first purchased it, I had in mind some more like what they use at our doctor's office. It is a forehead scanner, but it is a different brand/model, perhaps the Exergen? I notice that it requires MUCH less time in contact with the forehead in order to get a reading. I'll probably try that one next.

I know why others have given bad reviews. If you don't play around with it first to learn how to use it, it can be frustrating. However, once you know how to use it, it is super simple, quick and accurate. I have bought 3 other kinds of baby thermometers and this one is the best and easiest! I absolutely love it!

I have yet to be able to get a reading with this on my daughter or myself. My husband can do it on himself, but not on either of us for some reason. When he does manage to get a reading on himself, it takes forever, and is very inconsistent. We've followed the directions exactly... It was a gift, and the receipt was lost or we would be returning it. It'll be going in the garbage. I think at this point even if I were to manage to get a reading on my daughter I wouldn't trust it because it's so unreliable. Shame, because I really like this thermometer in theory, it just doesn't work well.

Seems like it would be a great product, since it's an easy color coded read, only one button to use - you'd think it would be idiot proof.....Maybe I'm an idiot, but it's glitchy, only works "when it feels like it"... dont get what the problem is, very frustrating to use. Would NOT buy it again - even if it were only for a dollar!!!!

We have tried this countless times on our little guy, and ourselves, and can never get an accurate temperature (if it even registers at all). Maybe it's all user error, but it just doesn't work for us.

I LOVE this thermometer. It is fast and accurate. I have never had never had a problem with this thermometer. After a couple of temps that I confirmed with an oral thermomter I now trust it completely. I am a nurse and this is what we use at work. The Dr's trust the readings and so do I.
