      Bought this speaker last Christmas for my 9 yr old for an MP3 player. It has lasted a year of her taking it outside and carrying it around. Not a bad deal for the price.

      Our daughter is 10. We bought her a mp3 player not an ipod. She likes it but she does not always want to listen on her headphones. So we bought this for her to play her music in her room. The sound quality is just ok but she is 10! It is perfect for her first speakers/music player in her room. I do not think it would work very well with any actual ipod product (the adults in this house have those) but it is perfect for a kid's room and kid level sound quality. She likes the pink color, but I think it is a little loud.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              I bought this product to use with an iPod shuffle for my son's room, and found out it will not work because the iPod shuffle headphones house the play button. Basically, it seems as though you can only listen to an iPod shuffle using the headphones. Otherwise, I guess this might be okay for other devices, but it does seem pretty low quality and not very doable.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
