    My 7 year old son received this for Christmas and had been waiting for years! He has been enormously excited since opening this item and with help gathering parts, he's been building it a little each day. The dark grey verses medium grey colors are hard to differentiate, especiallly since there are no arrows to point out the next build area. However, regardless, the build has been smooth and standard to other lego builds and my son has been enjoying each and every built section as we go. It took us 9 relaxing days with a few hours each day.

        I loved the manual. It's the biggest Lego manual I've seen. It's even spiraled & over 250 pages long! The playset went together very well & there is plenty of scenes from the movie for the kids to act out. My 7-year old son loves it! Not sure if it's worth [$]...but hey...it's Lego brand right? There are PLENTY of mini-figures to satisfy my son's thirst. I think he enjoys playing with the mini-figures more than he does the vehicles & playsets. This set is the pinnicle of the Lego Star Wars line-up. Could not find it in any Toys-R-Us store at the time so could only order it online. But, shipping is free so that's a plus. Also, according to the store we were at, NOT ONE TRU store in the whole state of Texas stocked this playset! Crazy! I highly recommend this Lego Playset. Very nice detail & will provide many hours of entertainment for the 'mini-figures' running around your house.

          Our son has been putting this on his Christmas and birthday lists for years, but it's so expensive, I never really considered it. However, he still loves Legos and was turning 14, so we splurged. I'm so glad I waited, as it took him two weeks to complete (previously all Legos have been built in a day!). He loves all the "features" like the elevator, doors and moving parts. When complete, it's huge, which shouldn't be a surprise with the number of pieces I guess! The best part is that he loves it!

              We had to save because of the price but it was completely worth it! My 6 yr. old son and I have the best time when building this fantastic Lego piece. I was huge Star Wars fan when I was young and played with LEGO's all the time with my dad. Now that he is gone, I get to build some of the most creative and clever Lego sets. The Death Star is nice and large, a bit confusing at times, but with patience and mind processing, my 6 yr. old is able to focus and practically build by himself. He has been building for quite sometime so not every 6 yr. old will be capable to do it alone. We highly recommend this set as it is our favorite Star Wars set yet. We look forward to working on it a little bit every night.
