Ding ding ding! There's a fire in town! The fire brigade drives to the scene from this detailed and realistic 1930s fire station. Designed to fit with other modular buildings like #10182 Cafi Corner and #10185 Green Grocer, the station is built with rare LEGO pieces and innovative construction techniques. It includes a 30s-style fire truck, four minifigures and a fire-dog, an opening station garage door and removable building roof for interior access, and two fully-furnished floors featuring fire-fighting tools, racks for the firemen's helmets, a fire-pole, a ping-pong table, a kitchen with fully-stocked fridge, a couch and bookshelf, and a roof with a water tower and bell.

The fire house looks stunning. It took me about six hours to build. Great build. Toys R Us is an awesome company. The customer service will honor any discount which should be on the order but is not. They resolved an issue immediately and in my best interest. Both of the above get five stars. UPS, on the other hand, has ruined every box I have received from Toys R Us. I am at the point of not buying anything which requires shipment from Toys R Us untilthere is an alternative shipping method. I have problems arise occasionally with other shipping companies but UPS has consistently delivered damaged boxes every single time in the last two years.

My recent purchase of the Fire Brigade set from Lego was a fun assembly experience enhanced by the labeling of the packages in, more or less, the order in which they were needed. The finished model contains a lot of detail, the fire truck is very nice and there are some interesting minifigs included. The interior details were numerous including such things as a ping pong table, refrigerator, cabinets, fire pole as well as stairways and a number of other fun things to enhance playablility. All in all a very nice set that I coupled together with my Grand Emporium as this set is another of the modular designs that allows you build up a unified shopping district.

Fit and finish of each piece is excellent. My 7 year old grandson had only minor difficulty with second floor and roof. However - vigilance is required of this age group if all of the features are to be assembled correctly - as you would expect.I was disappointed that when a count of each of the pieces was done prior to assembly, some of the counts were low- and conversely - some had extra's, but the I couldn't see any added value for the why's and wherefore's of why this piece was left short, while another had been added.[...]
