First kids "walk" the bike by pushing with alternating feet, then lift one foot and then two, until they are confidently gliding and balancing. Glide Bikes are U.S.-designed with mountain bike geometry, giving your child a lower center of gravity for more stability and safer balancing. No pedals or training wheels to get in the way.

Invented by Ed, a father and avid cyclist who saw the need for a learning bike with superior construction and design, the Go Glider has been road tested by Ed's own children to ensure that the product meets all design and quality requirements, and most importantly, that it's fun! The lightweight alloy frame is easy to maneuver and the foot pegs give kids a great way to glide. The quick-release seat clamp makes height adjustments easy, handlebars adjust for proper arm alignment, and the easy-to-use handbrake is sized just right for small hands. There is minimal assembly and all Glide Bikes are covered by a lifetime warranty! Cool "Glide Bikes Kid" graphics adorn the frame and the handlebar cover. This is a great bike for kids with PT issues. My twins are turning seven and continue to have balance issues with poor core strength. This bike enables them to feel and look like their peers. This bikes helps children to master riding a bike without training wheels at an independent pace. Well worth every penny!

I was another parent frustrated with teaching my child to ride a bike. Even with training wheels my daughter was freaked out every time the bike would even start to lean. Determined not to have a teenager that couldn't ride, I broke down and bought a Go Glider. After just 5 times on the bike (at maybe 30 minutes max each time) she was zooming all over and making turns without putting a foot down. I put her back on her regular bike (without training wheels) and she just took off. It was like she had been riding for years. I am not too thrilled that I spent that much for just 5 rides, but it was SOOOOO worth it!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This glider has been a wonderful learning tool and confidence builder for my granddaughter who was having a hard time learning to ride a bike. She balanced the glider immediately, then got on her regular bike and, wow, she could balance the bike also. I would recommend this progression for a child learning to ride a bike: scooter, glider, bike; forget the training wheels. This glider teaches balance and how to use a hand brake. The only remaining skill to learn to ride a bike is the pedaling. Also, the glider is so very light that it is extremely easy to handle.

I tried everything trying to teach my son how to ride a bike but nothing worked. I even tried making my own balance bike by removing the pedals off of his bike. I finally decided to buy one of these bikes and all I can say is WOW!!!! After using it a total of 4 times for about 30 min each time, I then had him try riding his pedal bike and voila!!...he was riding it like a pro. At first, I kinda felt like I wasted money because he only used it 4 times but hey...it did exactly what it was supposed to. I should also mention that it is super light and very well made.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
