Directions are HORRIBLE. The pieces aren't labeled, so you're stuck trying to figure out what each one is on your own. Im pretty well educated, and I consider myself to be pretty intelligent, but nothing is labeled, and the directions are atrocious. i got it together--all but one piece.i analyzed and counted the pieces everything over and over thinking that I just missed something. Nope. All there. Except for the last two pieces to connect in a curve, and there MUST be another piece to connect them. I'm soooo frustrated. About to throw this thing in the trash!!!!

This product is terrible. The cars couldn't make it up the loop even with brand new batteries. When they did make it, then they couldn't make the loop to go again. This is a terrible toy. My 3yr old is in tears because we told him we needed to return it and get something else. He just thought it looked cool.If I could give it no stars I would.

Santa (me) delivered this in response to my 4-year old's single item wish list for a "super cool race car track" to use with his Hotwheels cars.

The box doesn't lie. 6 track configurations with enough parts to make more of your own creations and a couple fun cars as well. Santa couldn't afford the expansion pack, but that might be fun for another holiday/birthday.

The guy who numbered the tracks on the outside of the box is not the same guy who wrote the assembly instructions and it seems a third person actually engineered it. But once you crack the assembly code which an adult needs to help the kids with, making tracks is pretty swift. Labelling the pieces with a marker helps to organize the pieces and align with the instructions. If you are spacially challenged, you will feel like you are having trouble opening a kid proof medicine bottle. It's not super easy, but you will figure it out.

The parts are average quality, but should last for a few years of reconfiguration. After a couple intense weeks of play the relatively cheap connectors already are showing some plastic deformation but continue to connect.

Its true, that most Hotwheels cars won't make it around the track. The two included cars are superior to most in our arsenal of cars, but part of the fun is figuring out which cars go further and which can or can't make it around.

Oddly, most Hotwheels and Matchbox cars which resemble actual production vehicles are too narrow or don't have big enough wheels to benefit from full acceleration and get over the gaps in the track. But the more outrageous designs with big wheels do quite well.

Fresh batteries are a factor, but the first two batteries seem to be lasting for tens of hours of play.

So far its one of the favorite things made out of plastic in the playroom.

I don't understand all of the negative comments. Take your time and carefully put it together per the instructions and it works great. My kid loves it.

I added the KidsPick Track Pack to this and we've had a lot of fun creating different tracks

Great buy.

The childres were very excited to use it with the batterie but the propulsion system is very loud and does not (by me anyway) work well at all. I am disapointed and I thing that I will give it back.

My son loves this, although, I think my husband is more excited for it. They both spent the better part of the morning just watching the cars race. It was a little tricky to put together and falls apart after continuous use. It seems to work best with the cars it came with. We have not found a car, out of my son's countless number of hotwheels he already has, that works as well.

I'm glad I relied on the good reviews and bought this. The motor is not that loud as some people stated, it is just as expected. While it is a little difficult to figure out which pieces are what, I think after assembling it a few times any person would start to remember what each piece is. I think any child under 10 would need an adults help. I assembled 2 different tracks today and the cars ran just fine. Occasionally a car might not make it around the loop, but nothing to get upset about. I found it helpful to give the cars a slight push to start it through the booster. The 2 cars it came with work great, some other cars are too heavy and won't make it all the way around, but many others do just fine. It's fun to see how many cars you can keep going at once, you can definitely see the different speeds depending on the weight of the cars, seeing one car catch another and crash is half the fun! Even my 3 3/4 year old son could get 2 or 3 running at once. The pieces on the figure 8 set up don't fit quite right, there are a few gaps, but it didn't affect the cars at all. I also bought the track pack and plan to get more boosters to make larger tracks. Just to note, I'm a 40 year old woman and had a lot of fun playing with this with my son.

So far this track works great and my 4 year old loves it. The only thing is it is pretty hard to assemble and ther is no way a young child can change the track around it took me a long time to do it myself.
