My 7 yr. old loves it. Pleasant voice, cute facial gestures when hungry, although it looks a little eerie when it opens its eyes. The lips lost its color after 1 week (a little disappointing), but the face cleans easily w/soap and water as the DIRECTIONS SAY. The food will go down as long as you are giving it water along with it, as the DIRECTIONS SAY. We bought newborn diapers to cut down on cost AND THEY DON'T LEAK. I do have to help with the rinsing over the sink :( But overall...ADORABLE and I'm going to get one for my 5yr. old for her birthday.

Very cute doll. Works great and my daughter loves it! However, the lip coloring is wearing off after only 1 week. It is a great doll otherwise.

My parents got this doll for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. Within 1 week of playing with her doll, the paint wore off her lips and cheeks! The doll has a small cut on her lip from melt poking through. Her face gets dirty easy and very difficult to clean!

My 7 year old daughter got this doll from Santa for Christmas. She fed it, gave it a bottle, and changed it one time. It fell asleep and never woke up. We put brand new batteries in and she still wouldn't wake up. We exchanged it at the store a few days later for another exactly like it and the second doll stopped talking out loud after 3 days unless you tilted her forward. Changed the batteries in this one too, but that didn't help. We are going to try to exchange one more time because my daughter was so upset and really wants this doll, but if after the third time we have problems we're getting something else. Also the lips wear off after one feeding. The facial skin does tend to get dirty easily and lint sticks to it too. The second doll also began to show signs of tearing under the eye and jaw line. All this after only 3 days of use and only partial days, because my daughters at school most of the day!

When I first saw this doll, I was not really that interested, but when my 4 1/2 year old daughter wanted her for Christmas I did my research and decided to give her a try. I have to say that we both really like her. Granted, at 4 1/2, I have to help my daughter with diaper changes, but I have not found the doll to be that labor intensive.

The doll does not have to be expensive to maintain. There are several things that can be done to cut down on the cost. In an effort to cut costs, I decided to make a few cloth diapers for the doll from some left over flannel and fleece so that we do not have to keep buying the expensive Baby Alive diapers or the real-life preemie diapers. We spread out "real" feedings. We usually only feed the real food and juice to the doll 2-3 times a week. Otherwise, we use pretend food and give the baby water to drink when she is thirsty. Her voice is pleasant; she has several different phrases to keep the doll interesting. She has a pleasant face and can be turned off so that she can "rest" at bedtime and/or naptime. I did notice that the lip color has faded with the feedings but I don't see that as being a big deal since the doll is intended for play and not for collecting.

The Baby Alive Real Surprises doll also seems to be very durable and of solid construction. I anticipate her lasting quite some time provided she is cared for appropriately. Overall, this a fun doll. We are having a lot of fun playing with Daniella together and I am glad Santa decided to give Baby Alive a try.

Doll's lips lost color within an hour of play and 2 days later the mouth would no longer move. I paid nearly [$] for this doll and now is in the garbage.

My oldest grandchild received this doll as a Christmas gift about 3 years ago, she still has it and still love to play with it at age 8. I now have a second grandchild that will receive this same doll on the 12th of this month for her 4th birthday. This doll is a great gift for little girls.

We got this for my 7 year old for Christmas. Terrible quality doll.....within 1 hour of playing with her, her lips wore off! The paint on her lips came off! Her face gets dirty alot too and difficult to clean! Everything sticks to her face and stains don't come off.... She is messy. Diapers do not hold the "poop" and "pee" in the diaper good enough. We had to wash her outfit. She also doesn't swallow the food well enough either. Daughter was very sad about the lip problem! She calls her BABY MESSED UP LIPS now. Not worth your hard earned money at all!!

My daughter got this for her third birthday and she picked it out. She loves to feed it all the time but we pretend a lot because when she eats and drinks the diaper gets soaked and you have to make sure that the diaper is on tight or it will leak. She has not stopped chewing and talking. The only thing is that once she is done eating you need to have her over the sink and give her a few bottles of water to completly make sure all of her food is out. It tells you in the insturctions. :)

We bought this for my daughter on Christmas. She loved it! Played w/ it for less than 2 days and the lip color wore off. I called the company that makes it (Hasbro) and they said it was normal wear and tear! They said all the dolls lip coloring removed immediately and there was nothing they could do. I would not recommend this to anyone..poor quality for sure!!
