Perfect size for a 2-3 year old. My son felt like a big boy carrying his own backback, and the strap in front kept it from falling off his shoulders. We stashed lightweight things in it (e.g., wallet, little teddy bear). I liked that the tether was removable and could be stashed inside until it was needed. I only used the tether once, but I liked that it hooked to the back rather than the front so it didn't have the look of a leash.

daughter wore hers one time and this thing came all to pieces the strapes broke in two different places and i would like a refund

At first I thought a backpack harnest ("the leash") for kids was absurd. I thought it would enable my son to be even more wild and not recognize his boundries. BUT he just got too wild for us and there has been too many "almost" incidents! He's just 100% boy... so what can I say. We got it, he loves the backpack, he feels like a big boy. He walks like he's matured a bit, (talking about a one year old), and what's ironic is that when he has it on, he doesn't act up or get all hyper. We don't even attach the leash on him. It's like when he has the backpack on, he feels like a big boy. hahaha... My son is almost 2 years and he is average in size for 2 years- it fits him perfectly.

We used this backpack when we went to Disney World. This lets your little one run around without concern of loosing them, which is great. The only bad thing is the shoulder straps come together at a point on top of the backpack and this rubbed my sons neck raw where the straps ran up against his skin. I would look for a harness that is either padded or has the shoulder straps spaced apart.

I have never been a fan of the harnesses for children, but this product looks and works as both a backpack and a safety devise. I purchased this product for my special needs child. It is light weight, easy to use and comfortable for our daughter. The product allows her freedom while walking rather than always being held onto. It makes her less frustrated and makes her feel like a "big kid". I would recommend this product for both "normal" and "special needs" children.

We've not used this much yet but baby (14 mos) thinks it's cool. Next spring my daughter will be taking an infant and toddler to daycare from a parking lot so we thought this would keep the toddler in check. I've never been a fan of keeping a baby on a leash but, as a grandma, am rethinking this.

Bought the backpack for my two year old and it was so small it was more suited for my infant. Very misleading in the picture. Wasted my time and money.

I think it is really cute, first of all. My little guys looks like a big guy in this miniature version of a regular size backpack. He seems to love it so far. I got him used to just wearing it as a backpack then added the strap. It also fits a sippy, Nuk and bag or two of snacks. So it is functioning too. Working good so far, we both love it!
