My grandson who is almost 5 really enjoys playing with this item. I had no problems putting it together. I didn't put the sand in the bottom so it is easier for me to keep inside or move outside.

We bought this for our son over a year ago and haven't had any problems with it. It will tip over on windy days, so make sure to fill the base with sand. My son is almost four now and very tall for his age, so the height adjustment on this basketball hoop is great!

I ordered this after looking at many different hoops on the web - this one was easy to put together, is solidly built, and at its lowest setting is perfect for my 4.5-year-old (who's small for her age - the hoop is an inch above her head). Adjusts very high beyond that, so will last for a while. Netting was simple to install and secure. We didn't fill the base because we currently have it indoors, and my daughter isn't doing any slam-dunks, so I can't rate that - but for our use, great product. Under 15 mins. to assemble.

My son LOVES this basketball hoop. The first night we got it, we played for 2 hours, then he ate dinner holding the ball, took a bath with the ball, and insisted we go back out after his pajamas were on to shoot some more baskets. Slept with the basketball in his bed. Did I mention he loves this?
We've had it 3 weeks and I agree that if assembled properly, everything on it is very stable. We have it on our porch though, so I really don't know about wind (although we did fill the bottom with sand so even that should be okay.)
We are outside 30 minutes - 2 hours everyday playing basketball. We've already gotten our money's worth and I'm sure we'll use this for a long while to come!

We bought this yesterday for our 6 and 4 year old boys. It has a hole in the bottom of the base already which means the water comes out when you fill it up to keep it from falling over. It' fell several times on the kids when a little wind comes through (not much wind). I am returning it for a better made plastic model.

This was a Christmas gift for my toddler and really was not difficult to put together. It has been a huge hit with my toddler, and the older kids are enjoying shooting baskets in it, too.

I noticed some folks talking about the net not staying on or the rim falling off, but I have owned many Little Tikes products and they have always been super durable. Perhaps these folks installed the rim upside down? My husband actually did that and we had to take it off and reinstall it correctly. I don't know for sure if that would affect usage, but it's possible.

Overall, a great product, but 4 stars for now just because we've only owned it for a few weeks.

The goal is great in that it grows. My older children like to move it up and play around with that. My 2 year old likes to make baskets on the lowest setting. I gave it 3 stars because when it blows over the backboard comes off and usually blows around. Also the net will not stay on the hooks. Also, I think this used to come with wheels as we had one when my other kids were little. That sure helped in moving it around.

My kids and I love this basketball net! At its lowest setting, it's the perfect height for my 4-year-old. My 1 1/2-year-old also enjoys it, though he needs to be lifted up to get the ball in.

Even though it's made of plastic, it's sturdy enough that at its lowest setting, even without sand in its base, it does not tip over when a "real" kid-sized basketball is used (as opposed to the softer, lighter ball that comes with the net).

The entire structure (without sand in the base) is light enough that it is easy to move in and out of the garage, so it doesn't have to left out all the time (in all kinds of weather).

Assembly is easy and takes only a few minutes. The tips provided by "happy dad" in another review are spot-on, and when set up properly, the rim and net are very secure.
