This car seat seems safe and sturdy. But it is HUGE, takes up most of your back seat (I drive a toyota Camry). It also gets SO hot in the summer with all of that cushioning. My daugther screamed every time we put her in it when it was hot outside. It is difficult to install if you don't have the latch system. My husband can't put the seatbelt through it because his hands are too big...I have to do it and it hurts my hands. It is really heavy too. Wish I had gotten something else.

we loved the evenflo car seats. our first son was born in 2008 and we checked out all car seats online and then went to stores to see them up close. our initial pick was the britax marathon...but, after talking to sales associates we saw how much more foam padding there was in the evenflo and it seemed like more protection...we weren't even concerned about price (even though the evenflo was $100 less). so when we had our 2nd son, who grew out of his infant car seat at 3 months, we went online to see if there was another car seat like the one we had. the first was discontinued, but this one was similar and we ordered it right away. my child loves it and is very comfortable. i also love the new round belt buckle. much better than the square from before (for between his legs). it is an easy install as well. i have a tahoe that was made the year before the latches...so, old fashioned install. This car seat looks great but more than that... i feel like my children are safe in them.

I bought one of these for my first born son in 2005 after looking at many different car seats. He was 3 mths old when we got it. One month later, we were driving on the interstate and were rear ended by another vehicle. This seat kept my son safe. The only thing that had happened was that it was leaning to the side slightly, which in my opinion was not bad. We purchased another one after the wreck and then when we had our second son, we bought one for him as well. I now have a 3 mth old baby and plan on buying another one!! I was sold on it before our wreck, but after it doing it's job in such a horrible situation, I would not buy any other car seat! I have recommendedd this seat to every one of my family members and they love it as well!

We were given hand-me-down carseats from my sister-in-law and found them hard to assemble, hard to buckle, and difficult to adjust. My parents bought two of these carseats based on their saftey rating and we were amazed at how much easier it is to adjust the seat for our daughter. When we were in a major accident and had to replace our daughters carseat (she wasn't in the car luckily,) we went with this one and haven't regretted it. I'm hoping to replace the other carseat that we have as a hand-me-down with another one of these because they are just so easy to use and so safe.

ftaer doing our research on a carseat... we found this one... everything is awesome! excellent i would say! the best feature are the adjustable straps... I LOVE THEM! the adjusting mechanism is great! makes it easier to strap him in and out.. specially when he is sleeping or when he has large coats or blankets...

another thing is how stable it is! i ahve my two yr old on a different carxseat and by far a huge difference... my baby is not all over the back seat when i make a turn.. his seat stays put all the way around..

it does fit a little tight on my sedan.. a passat.. i am guessnig the large size would be best fitted for a larger car.. but it fits great... i highly reccomend!

I bought this for my second child when he was about 6 months old. I loved the seat rear facing. It was easy to remove the cover without taking out the seat and wash in a washer and dryer! Forward facing I found that I started having difficulty with the buckles getting twisted on the straps which would result in my having to fight with the buckles and strap so that I wouldn't have to have the actual belt twisted when buckled. It would have been nice to have some velcro so that the straps could be hooked open when not in use. I do love the adjustments for height by not having to take out the seat to reposition and I do like the crank to tighten. I wish the latch system was more like the Britax that is more like a belt buckle so that you don't have to fish to find the latch and then try to push it down and twist to release it while you're fingers are between the seats. Overall, it was a great value and we're happy with it.

We bought one of these seats initially to try it out in DH's truck. We loved it so much we bought the same for my car. It's sturdy and comfortably for our LO. Easy to move from our cars to grandparents for weekend visits when necessary. I'm very happy with our choice (was considering a Britax but just couldn't see spending the extra money when this one was so sturdy and well built for so much less).

I did a lot of research before buying this carseat. I liked that it was rated #1 in Consumer Reports. It is a very nice carseat and I think it would be very safe. My daughter seemed to like it as well. There were several reasons why I returned it. In my vehicle (Mazda 5), it was hard to access the dials when it was rear facing. I want to keep my 1 year old rear facing for as long as possible since the APA recommends this now. Also, the chest clip on mine kept sticking and I couldn't get it to release several times. It was frustrating to me, so I took it back. I have a friend who has not had the same troubles and loves hers in the forward facing position. The other CON for me was that I was not strong enough to pull the straps tight enough to install it in my car. I had to ask my husband to help. I don't want a seat that I can't install on my own.
I ended up purchasing a Britax Marathon and found it to be easier to use and equally as safe. The Triumph was alot cheaper, but the Marathon was worth the price to me.

I use this for our newest grandson! He is a big baby so we needed something that would grow with him. I love the size, it is stout and well designed! A bit bulky for the back seat but the reasurrance that he is safe if we would be in an accident makes it well worth it!

We got this as a shower gift and I am just now installing it 8 months later. I love how it looks and feels, the only problem we had was the installing part. We actually had to call Evenflo to find out some "secrets" to the carseat. To recine it, you have to pull up when squeezing the lever, and also, the harness wasn't able to loosen so she told me that they sometimes get locked or jammed in place, but to tighten it some and then try to loosen it. All of her tips worked but would have been helpful in the manual. Also, my baby is 8 months and his head falls down when he falls asleep, I would not recommend this for any baby less than 22 pounds, or one that cannot support their own head.
