He is a highly detailed deluxe film replica from DISNEY/PIXARs digital data. Fully poseable with over 32 points of articulation including fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, waist, ankles, knees and legs! Push red oval chest button for classic "Buzz Toy" phrases. Press blue oval chest button and he responds as "Space Ranger" Buzz with moving head action! He even knows if youre talking loudly. Talk to Buzz and he'll respond to your voice in Talk Back Mode by using the green oval button for ON/OFF Talk Back feature. Press red round chest button for flying mode with pop-out wing action and light-up wing tips. The level sensor knows when Buzz is in a horizontal flying position or standing vertically and responds with flying/landing sound effects. You can also press his arm button for laser light-up and sound effects. Open or close his helmet or arm communicator and he reacts with related phrases and sound effects. He has over 60 sayings in original voice. The Toy Story Andy's Room Buzz Lightyear Talking Action Figure has a soft rubber waist and glow-in-the-dark green trim. He also includes Toy Story Collection Certificate of Authenticity.

Did you ever want the exact Buzz Lightyear Andy played with in the Toy Story movies? Say no more because after a long wait for 14 years, Thinkway Toys has produced the best, most accurate Buzz Lightyear ever! Everything on Buzz is so much better than the past versions of Buzz Lightyear himself. He has the exact detailing just like in the movie, a wonderfully sculpted facial expression, more articulation including a rubber waist and individual finger movement, says 65 phrases and is interactive, has space ranger and toy buzz modes, has the locking wrist communicator, a certificate of authenticity(which is a very nice piece with this toy!), an actual wingspan with the red and green blinking lights on the tips of the wings, glows in the dark, and best of all for the first time ever, Buzz comes in his actual spaceship box that was seen in the first Toy Story movie! Yeah, I just mentioned a lot of features this toy has here, but I'm just so happy to finally have a Buzz Lightyear that's true to the movie! Honestly, this is the coolest toy I have right now! His interactive mode is just loads of fun because you get to talk to Buzz and he responds to your voice with sayings from the movie(he even knows when you're shouting or being too loud and he will react!) When you press the red round button, his wings pop out with the red and green blinking lights! Now, how cool is that! Anyways, when you tilt Buzz into a horizontal position, he makes flying sounds and moves his head. As you put Buzz back in a vertical position, he will make a landing sound and say a phrase such as "The galaxy is safe once again." Once you tuck in the wings back, it makes a retracting sound just like in the movie! The locking wrist communicator is really nice with the actual "Gamma Sector 4" sticker in there and Buzz will interact with his communicator when you press the blue oval button. When you open his helmet, it makes the swooshing sound and Buzz will react with phrases such as after he chokes and says the air isn't toxic, he will tell you how dangerous it is to open his helmet on an uncharted planet that his eyeballs could've been sucked from their sockets! The only features that are not present in this figure is the karate-chop action, pressing the purple button for his helmet to retract all the way down, and pushing the infrahydraulic wing release activator again after the wings have been deployed to retract the wings back in. Although, it's okay for those features not being present in this figure as there is no room for those features in the figure itself. Overall, this is THE Buzz Lightyear to get, I highly recommend this figure, and there is no better version of this figure out there to get that exactly resembles this one(except for the utility belt one, but I don't really care about that version). After all, who wouldn't be impressed by this Buzz Lightyear figure?

We always seemed to have trouble with the back piece falling off.. I know that it is supposed to so that you can fix the wings. Which leads me to the wings yes they come off a lot to. But tonight we had something happen that could not be fixed.. My little man decided that he should make Buzz "fly" off his bed (which happens to be a loft bed). Unfortunately Buzz is now Mrs. Nez Fits. His Left arm broke off at the elbow leaving him with exposed wires. I was so bummed being that it was a [$] toy and only having it 3 months. All in all its a great toy its just unfortunate that our Buzz is now outfitted with a Diego band aid to cover his injury! :)

It breaks. My child was not rough with this toy, and played with it under supervision. As soon as he received it, it broke in 10 minutes. That one was returned. Several months later, much to my chagrin he received it as a gift again. This time it took about a month for the wing to break, and it upset my three year old. The sounds all still work, but the wing defect is really bothering him because he likes to fly Buzz around.

I've had bad experiences with other Mattel toys of this era. Mattel toys from our childhoods found their way to our children, but these don't even find their way to the younger sibling. It's a disgrace to sell landfill quality toys at these exorbitant prices. I have ceased to buy toys from Mattel. I just tell my kids and family that Mattel is a bad toy maker.

My son is 2 years old and he received this is a gift on Christmas. He absolutely LOVES it! Now everything is Buzz Lightyear; he wants the shirts, the cups, the smaller action figures, etc. He's not old enough to sit through the Toy Story movies, but hopefully that's next! I have a 6 month old who also enjoys the lights and sounds, so that's a plus too! I don't have to worry about little parts falling off, so he's safe to play with it too!

Bought for my 2.5 year old. What's great: Large toy, Really looks like Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, many phrases & responds to actions, e.g. opening the helmet & pretending to fly/landing makes the toy "say" certain responses. My son really does love it.

what's not so great: Have had it for a few days-the right wing falls off about 10 times a day since it arrived (even before my son began playing with it), so that now the lights on the right wing no longer work. The helmet also comes off its hinges completely several times a day. I even have had it in my hands & the wing & helmet has come off from my handling the toy. I am constantly putting these parts back on & anticipate at some point it likely will break permanently. The joints articulate slightly but it takes a lot of force to do so, to the point that you feel you are going to crack the toy.
I feel these points really make this toy not worth its hefty price. If it was half the cost & took a little longer before I was snapping parts back on I might chalk it up to wear & tear, but it's obvious it came poorly manufactured. I have seen other reviews mentioning the problem with the wing, I should have taken heed, & maybe I should have returned it, but I also don't know of any alternative versions of the original Buzz Lightyear figure.
I would like to stress that I don't believe these issues are from too rough play, as it was falling apart right out of the box & even while I have had it in my own hands just checking out the toy.

we got this as a Christmas gift for my 4 yr old and it now not even a month old and it has already broken!! the wings don't work, he can't tell when he is "flying" anymore, and he won't respond to his helmet opening and closing it's a piece of JUNK!!!!

    I brought this for my son for his 5th birthday we have all the toy story movies & he loves buzz & woody (which he also has). Buzz is so great he talks, flys & his helmet does that woosh thing LOL. I would definitely buy this product again & again. Even my one year old daughter likes buzz

          This was a Christmas present for my three year old. He absolutely loves it and it is so interactive. After reading reviews on the internet I realized there were many versions of this toy by different makers. I decided on this Thinkaway version because I wanted it to stand up to the wear and tear of a three year old. I would have given it five stars but it is a bit pricey. Still I am happy with this buzz and I know my son is too.
