I saw these online and thought they would be cute during the cooler months for extra warmth when swaddling. The design/print is only on one side and I was very disappointed with how faded all 4 of the different prints were after just one wash. The online picture makes them look so bright; however they are very dull. I can't say that I have used them yet since my baby hasn't arrived yet, so they still may serve their original purpose (keeping baby warm in a swaddle) even though they aren't bright and fun anymore. For only $10, I would recommend the 4 pack of flannel receiving blankets made by Circo (sold at Target). They did not fade and are the same size.

I bought these when my son was around 3 months old and hated to be swaddled. I 'roll' my son in these (burrito style) and he loved them.
I washed my blankets on a gentle cold cycle with baby detergent and my blankets are super soft and look like new.

cute designs an gender neutral but not very practical. These receiving blankets are too small to properly swaddle my newborn at 7 pounds... I can't imagine I'm going to get much use out of them at all! Another waste of money especially since after only 2 washings, they are fading and not looking so great.

My husband and I loved the look of these blankets! When we got some I was hesitant because they seemed rough and stiff, but after washing them once they became VERY soft! Some reviews have said they didn't hold up through washing. I did not have this problem. I washed them on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and they came out just as cute as ever.

dont waste your $$. blankets are super cute, but like everyone else says after just 1 wash, the colors fade and blankets are covered with balls of lint. i purchased 2 sets of these blankets and was thankful i only washed 1, took the 2nd set back the same day... very disapointed! =/

My son's nursery is a green & brown monkey theme, and I was so excited when I got these blankets. The first time I washed them they looked horrible. They were picked, covered with lint, and faded. They still feel very soft and I'm going to use them anyway, but I will not be buying any more.

The only receiving blankets that are big enough to swaddle the baby. Love the designs, and only the very dark ones fade in the wash. We had the monkey one in the hospital when he was born and got lots of compliments on our monkey boy! The size changing and fading isn't a problem because I figure all baby stuff gets washed so much that it's bound to happen. We love these blankets and will give them as baby gifts.
