This is the perfect combination for Calico Critters fans and horse lovers. My daughter has had this set for a couple of years and it's the most played with. The horse and figure have held up very well, except for the horse's mane which needs a thorough combing. I don't believe this to be a quality issue though.
The cat sister is very cute as well. It's the same great quality Calico Critters are known for.
Like another reviewer stated, the cat figure really does stay in the saddle and doesn't fall off the horse easily. It's all the little attention to details that make this set and the whole Calico Critters line great.
Parents be aware, there are a couple of very small pieces included. I would recommend this set for ages 4 and up.

My four year old has had this for a year. She got it last Christmas and plays with it alot. We love it! The critters actually fit in the saddle and stay well without falling!
