I was looking to get the bed rails to make my son's bed into a full size bed for his 3rd birthday. Come to find out that the bed rails are completely unavailable through Babies R Us AND the manufacturer! It had been discontinued! This is per the manufacturer! So dissapointed! Now I'm either going to have to buy bed rails that don't match his bed or buy a new bed which is NOT what I wanted to do!

After purchasing the 4 in 1 crib 7yr ago we began looking for the bed rails in July '12. We called several stores but had no success with finding them. Come to find out the color had been disconnected. This past March we were finally able to order the rails from the store.

The rails came 4 days after the order was place.

Attaching the rails to the foot/head board was challenging but after about 90 mins we were done. Our son is tall so gettng in and out the bed is no problem. We are finally happy.

I attempted to order bed rails for my daughters Babi italia Eastside lifestyle crib classic cherry model # 4090454, SKN 067070. I spent over a month and a half battling back and forth with babies r us and the manufacturer( which was much more
Helpful than babies r us) trying to obtain these bed rails. Apparently babies r us could not obtain these rails but didnt have any answer on why they could not get them and had no answer on when they were going to get anymore back in. If you sell a
crib and dont know that babies are going to grow up and need a bed then don't sell items that can be upgraded. Another thing is educate, orient and thorough train your staff members so they are better informed on merchandise you sell so they can accurately relay information to consumers. Very unhappy with the consumer service babies r us provided to me.

I am so very upset. Like other customers, I called La Jobi (who makes Babi Italia) to confirm I was ordering the right rails. They gave me the item #. It was close to 9 months before these were back in stock. When they arrived, they have SCREWS, NOT the fitted metal brackets that are pictured here on the BRU website. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my son, who now has a mattress on the floor. When I went back to BRU, they had me order a completely different set, and they said it will be another 10-12 WEEKS! Do not purchase from this company; if you do get all the parts at one time, because parts are constantly out of stock and discontinued. Awful.

We are happy with the bed, but unhappy with the fact the rails are only available in Espresso. Our crib was purchased in 2007 in the color Tea Stain. Unfortunately, we waited until our second child was finished with the crib to purchase the conversion kit for a full-size bed. Now the rails do not match the rest of the bed frame. We used a bed skirt to hide the side rails, but my advice would be to purchase everything you need (if you want it to be a "lifetime" bed) long before the company decides to discontinue the products. Also, like other reviews have mentioned, the bed is definitely too high off the ground for a young child. We purchased a 2" bunkie board instead of a box spring (per recommendation of the store manager where we bought the mattress). This solved the height issue, but now we cannot secure bed rail guards to protect our child from falling out of bed. Fortunately, lots of pillows have kept her in place so far.

The customer service was terrible it took 9 months to get the rails to found out that it was the wrong model, finally the rails were available online and delivered in 5 days but overall is not worth the price for all the agravation.

I bought these rails to convert my childs Babi Italia crib to a full size bed. My 2 children used the crib and we have had it for about 5 years now. Our crib required the slotted bed rails, these bed rails are for long screw set-up. If you have what I assume is one of the older models with slots don't order this product. Contact the company and make sure they send you the right product.

Love these railings. A low profile (half the height) boxspring keeps the bed from being to tall with the railings so high off the ground. My daughter loves climbing in and out!! Perfect match to crib pieces; easy to assemble (4 screws), although some help is needed to hold everything together while tightening things. So sturdy I don't think the four screws will ever come out!! Very happy with our choice from crib to big-girl bed!! She can take this bed to college with her!

I too am very disappointed about how high this bed is when using a mattress and box spring. I removed the box spring but found the mattress did not have enough support without it. This is just a poor design when converting and if I knew about this 3 years ago I would not have purchased.

The reviews about the high bedrails were extremely helpful. Yes, the bedrails are high. Keeping that in mind, when I bought my mattress I almost skipped the box spring. Instead, I decided to get a half-sized box spring. It's perfect. And the bed is beautiful.
