3 yr old loves it!

My 3 year old got this toy for her B-day and SHE LOVES IT!!! Shes plays with this toy for hours...yes, it does have some faults (but don't all toys now days) anyways, I took a little superglue and hot glue to this toy and good as new...now it doesn't fall apart when you move it and the slid stays together. It just takes a little creativity to out smart the faultiness of it. Although it can hold water, we choose not to do so and all the pieces are still in great condition. Even my daughters older brother (6) and older sister (5) play with this toy for hours. It was easy to put together and now Polly and strawberry shortcake have a place to P-A-R-T-Y!! You never know who is going to show up that day to hang out with Polly :)

Easy fix for junk coaster

So this toy should have been renamed "Mount Saint Helens Simulator". As the mountain falls apart just looking at it.... I visualize its complete eruption wiping out the coaster wrapping around its flimsy base. The gazebo canopy is just as flimsy and the reversible wall art continously falls out of place. The canopy over the escalator falls off when you crank the cart upward, overall the toy is so fragile that I wouldn't allow the girls to add any water to its pool or coaster area....out of fear that we'd be cleaning it up off the floor.

My youngest daughter wished for this toy as her most important gift. She told Santa on two separate occasions....and the thought of taking the toy back to the retailer....moistened eyes! So creatively found a simple 30 minute repair and approximatley for about $10.

Here's how I fixed it..... I purchased a package of #6-1/2" Self Tapping Sheet Metal Screws (Package of 50), #8-3/4" Self Tapping Sheet Metal Screws (small package..you'll need about 4), a long drive extension for my cordless impact drill, and a 1/4" hex driver.

I then took the toy completely apart and started by installing a screw everywhere the toy connects together. A few spots like the pool support legs, and the gazebo canopy legs were a little tricky. Aim the screw carefully from the bottom of the base and up inside the legs of each structure. Use the extension driver to reach spots inside the purple mountain, and the second level of the gazebo. Note: The screws are visible on the backside of the 2nd floor of the Gazebo - just touch up with a little model paint. The top section of the mountain was probably the most difficult.....just pinch the structure together and aim the screw through the underside lip. I also pinned the pool down to the mountain, and added a screw through the escalator connecting point. Overall my toy is now so strong that I picked it up by the canopy and violently shook it to verify how strong it was. Now the girls add water, play until they're tired....then I pick up the toy and turn the entire thing upside down over the bathtub.

There was a spot or two where 3/4" long screws would have been better. You'll only need (4) total....so buy just a small package. Also the canopy over the escalator, and umbrella on top of the Mountain requires glue.....theres no place to put a screw without it just being ugly!

Good Luck......I've not touched the toy since I made the modifications. Total time to modify was about a 1/2 hour?

      First let me say that I got this for my 4 year old. She doesn't play rough and is very gentle with her things. Now, we have several issues with this toy. Number 1, the orange door on the upper deck refuses to stay on. Number 2, the furniture (in my opinion) is just too big for it. Number 3, where the juice bar and table goes its hard for my 4 year old to get to them. Number 4, The "cups" that come with this set do not stand up properly. They keep falling. Number 5, it took FOREVER to put together because the instructions are not put together very well and things kept falling apart. Number 6, the upper deck roof as well as the support beams for the roller coaster come off if you move it in the slightest way. Number 7, the little train thing that attaches to the roller coaster does not go around the tracks all the way. It cuts off at the upper deck. Number 8, the "splash" is really not that big and it was very disappointing to my daughter. Number 9, it takes up too much room. I would definitely save my money and not buy this.

          This product looks cute, but is not worth the price. Santa brought it for my almost 5 year old who played with it for maybe 30 minutes and has not touched it since. My 2 year old is not even interested in it. The quality stinks - it falls apart constantly. Maybe it would be more fun if you do put water in it, but that' s not happening in my house and it' s too cold to take it outside.

            Our Polly Pocket Coaster has PINK tracks and an ORANGE "mountain"- I am thinking we have a revised version?
            Anyway- our Polly Pocket Coaster woks great! Our 3 year old is great at cranking up cart to the top of the coaster. We have not added water and did not tell her that water could be added since it is set up in the play room. Our 1 year old was also holding onto the actual tracks and they stayed together.
            This was given as a Christmas gift in late December 2012 and I was extremely nervous after rading how people had glued/screwed their track together. We did not use anything but the "click in" method that the directions suggested. Very quick/easy to put together.
            The only thing that I wish were different is that in the tracks towards the back, the cart can go into the gazebo and sometimes, it accidently slides that way instead of going around the whole tracks of the coaster. but that really isnt a big deal to a 3 year old!
            I would definitely reccomend the version that my daughter recieved to anyone who would like a fun toy for their child.

            This product is very cute and fun...While it lasts. I have had to reassemble this 3 times because it keeps coming apart when the roller coaster cart goes over it...It feels very flimsy and the peices dont snap together tightly..a little disappointing for my girls.

                I made the mistake of buying this without reading the reviews. This product is absolutely terrible. The plastic pieces were all twisted, nothing was made to snap together, so if the toy is touched slightly, the entire thing crumbles. My daughter cried because it wouldn't stay together long enough for her to try it out. We put it right back in the box and intend to return it. Total junk.

                      My girls got this from Santa and it is a HIT! Quite a few steps to put it together, but it has been GREAT and it does not fall apart. Ours also looks a bit different than the picture (colors are different) so maybe they improved it? Either way, they are thrilled!

                          Ignoring the reviews about it falling apart, I still bought this for my daughter last Christmas. Two months later it was in the trash. Yes it falls apart constantly, my husband was so sick of constantly putting it back together that he super-glued it together. It lasted for a few weeks then started falling apart again. After about two months my daughter said "I don't like this toy" and into the trash it went.
