Comments about EA Games Dragon Age Inquisition for Sony PS3:

With 80 hours into the game, I can fairly say that Inquisition has been a wonderful experience. Though the game does deviate from it's RPG roots to lean toward a more action-oriented battle experience, the world and story of DA:I is expansive and holds up to the previous installment.

However, EA's decision to make the game available on the PS3 seems to be an afterthought. The game has significant drops with frame rate, problems loading textures, and at times freezes, forcing one to restart their system. I have lost my data multiple times because of this.

Issues with the hardware being able to handle a next gen game aside, it is an excellent game, one I would buy again... Perhaps on a different console.

Comments about EA Games Dragon Age Inquisition for Sony PS3:

For fans of the Dragon Age series, worry not: this game is rifts better than what Dragon Age 2 unfortunately was.
BioWare acknowledged the issue with the heavily repetitive dungeons that plagued the second game and addressed this with hugely expansive maps that you can lose the time exploring. Granted they're not as vast as, say, the likes of The Elder Scrolls', Fallout's, or Far Cry's—but each area is drawn out enough that you'll get a feel for how diverse, unique, and... well, let's just say... not as copy-and-pasted each environment is.
Combat is another enjoyable feature. If there are any tacticians out there, you'll be pleased to know that directing orders has also been improved. If you've played DA2 on either the PS3 or Xbox 360, you're more than likely aware of having to issue actions via the radial menu. This is no longer the case in DA:I. By pressing Select, you can access the Tactical Camera. Here, you can quickly switch between characters, order specific directions to them, and press/hold down R2 to advance the time. I would have one complaint with this system, however, as the field of view cannot be extended as far as it could in DA:O.
And as would be expected of any BioWare games, the characters and companions are anything but forgettable. A few old faces return (including a charming and quick-witted dwarf as well as a faithful friend with a rather rogue past), while some fresh, new ones make their appearance. Sometimes, it's fun just to listen to your teammates banter back and forth (which unfortunately wasn't working prior to the first patch); it grants the player an opportunity to know them better beyond conversation their own Inquisitor could share with them.
Now, with my favorite aspects of the game aside, I feel there should be some negative points to outline. For starters, this was a game that was made for the PC and the current generation of consoles. And after minutes of popping in the game, this fact becomes all the more evident. Among these signs include slower loading screens, diminished customization options (some facial complexions will look exactly the same as others since less graphical details had to be rendered ), screen tears, and the occasional freeze. Of course, these all just might be issues that were overlooked. If so, let's hope that they're ironed out in due time. But by all means, don't expect this port of the game to be without its own fair share of bugs and glitches.
All in all, I think BioWare and Dragon Age fans will have their faith restored by this game. Nonetheless, if you have a PC or current-gen console that is capable of running this, then I strongly recommend getting it for those instead. But if you have a PS3 or an Xbox 360—and can deal with the bad and the ugly along with the good—you'll have an ageless experience with this one, too.
