Built from solid New Zealand pine wood and finished with non-toxic paint, Rivington is a safe haven for your child to dream. For toddlers, this 4-in-1 crib easily converts to a toddler bed with the included guardrail, or to a daybed. Pair with DaVinci's separate wooden bed rails to convert to a full-size bed. With fixed sides for safety, the gently curved front rail keeps it comfortable for parents to reach in. Four mattress levels also work to maximize safety for baby and convenience for mom and dad; set your mattress at the right height for baby's growth. This affordable crib was easy to assemble and is actually a 4-in-1 (just have to order the conversion rails). My baby will be able to use this for years to come! Even though it's a longer (59") crib than most, it still fits a standard 52" mattress. The angled edges give it lots of character. It was also easy to assemble. My only complaint so far is that the rail does not slide up and down, but that tends to be a safety hazard anyway.

The color is a bit of a disappointment because it is darker and more on the orange side than expected...but it'll work.

This is a nice looking crib and wasn't hard to assemble.

A few cons:
The wood is a little soft so I'm not sure it will make it past the toddler stage to convert to a full size bed. Which is fine by me since we got it on sale, but if you're planning to have a convertible crib last through several kids and into a full size crib, I'd recommend a tougher wood.

We had to return this 3 times since the packaging was terrible and there were huge dents in the wood where the cardboard had been hit during shipping. Babies R Us was excellent at quickly sending us a replacement, and I do commend them for their customer service.

It is hard to find a mattress that fits this snug, it's a bit larger than the standard mattress, including the davinci davis mattress.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is exactly what we wanted. It has a very sleek look and matches the other pieces we already had in the room. So simple to assemble, we had it together in less than 30 minutes with two of us working on it. We bought the conversion rails so that our son would not need any other bedroom furniture and we look forward to him sleeping sound through his young adult life. LOVE THIS CRIB!!!

I couldn't be happier with this crib. I looked a long time and read many reviews. I finally decided on the Rivington because the majority of the reviews were so positive. The finish is beautiful, no scratches out of the box, easy to put together, looks great. I can see why some people say it's not as sturdy as a solid hardwood crib, it's not, but it's not unstable by any means. Especially like that it came with a toddler rail.
