I originally bought another popular baby carrier before my son was born thinking that would be the only one I needed. It said it would hold babies over 8lbs and mine was over 9 so I thought it would be perfect for us. What I didn't realize was that newborns like to be in the fetal/frog position with their legs tucked up underneath them when they're being held, not with their legs dangling down. My son was also pretty gassy and hard to burp and he just wanted to be held upright and close to my chest all the time or he would fuss. I bought the Moby Wrap and after watching YouTube to figure out how to do the "newborn hug hold", I put him in it and he stopped fussing immediately. In fact, he NEVER fusses in this thing!! He usually sleeps in it no matter where we go or how noisy it is. The fabric is super soft and it's much easier on my back that the other carrier I bought. I don't even know if I'll use that other carrier now that I have this one because I love it so much!

Bought this as a gift for a friend who had her first baby. She LOVES it! Her DD loves being cuddled and she can get things done with two hands. Well-made. Took a few tries to master how to use it, but has since become an invaluable assistant!

The Moby is great because it is made of soft, breathable cotton and is made for newborns +, whereas with most other carriers the baby needs to be at least 8 lbs. It also distributes the weight all over your body.

I wish I had know this when I was still pregnant-I would have registered for the Moby. I got the Bjorn Classic at my shower instead. When she was weighed enough to use it at 3 weeks, it was hot/stiff and uncomfortable for me with no Lumber support; so I returned it and got the Moby. My little girl (13 wks now) loves it!

However, it is time consuming to get in to and cumbersome with all the material. I also don't feel I have full range of motion w/the way it comes over my shoulders/arms. It isn't something my husband will wear either, so we will have to get another one for him. I also don't like that there is not cover from the sun.

When she is able to hold her head up on her own we will prob buy the Ergo to solve all the issues stated above.

I have yet to use this product successfully and instead carry my baby around all of the time. I was hopeful this product would free my hands, but it is made of an extremely heavy material, which does not work for us in the hot, humid, Southern summers. Also, it seems to be made for women who have already shed their baby weight. It's been 2 months since my son was born and though I have lost weight, I am not down to my pre-pregnancy size and the wrap does not fit well at all. I do not feel my son will be adequately supported and he screams every time I try to place him in the wrap. I hope to find a better product.

I bought this to try to get a little more hands free around the house. It takes practice so it's not good to try when baby is cranky if you are not both comfortable with it. It's also a little heavy, so not good in the heat. It is very soft and comfortable if the temp is right and it's properly wrapped. I find it best to put baby in when he is happy, fed, changed and ready to settle down.

I was excited to use this product for my newborn twins but unfortunately have been dissapointed. I have a pretty small frame and the wrap slides off my shoulders. It took me several tries to figure the thing out. Also, because the fabric has to wrap around your body, it's so long and the fabric is heavy and hot. The instruction booklet says for babies 8 lbs and up so I wasn't sure if I could use it for my 6 lb infants. The two times I did wear it, my back ached afterwards.

First I'll say my sister loves moby wraps etc... For me I love it's convenience being able to do things with baby right there with you...bad for me is, it's bulky only tried it twice ,it isn't quick using for going into a store etc.. Other than that it's great .

I watched the YouTube videos on how to use before I purchased. This took the mystery out of this wrap and now I feel very comfortable using it properly for my newborn.

This wrap is amazing! So many ways to wrap your baby in. My newborn loves the wrap. Asa I put her in she falls asleep.
Easy when traveling as well. My husband straps her in and we go. I would highly recommend this wrap for people with newborns, infants. Great for people on the go

it took a few goes before I figured out how to wear it properly but now I can't imagine life without my Moby Wrap. My 6 week old preemie just wants to be held and with the wrap I can do this and still get stuff done. Another side effect, if I'm out in public wearing my baby so close it discourages people from trying to either touch him or request a cuddle.
