I made it very clear to Toys R Us via constant Facebook updates that I wanted to see more classic Hot Wheels playsets released, and with this product, it is clear that my voice has been heard. Remember the old G-Force track set, the classic loop and jump, that has been around forever? Well, now they don't sell it in stores anymore, and it seems like most Hot Wheels sets these days have some sort of theme to them, like Octopark or Shark Park or T-Rex raceway or whatever. It's hard to find just a simple racetrack on the shelves anymore. But, Toys R Us has really overdone it with their Track Pack products in their stores. Now, not only do you get a loop and jump with this 39 piece track pack, but you also get a 180 degree turn, 6 risers, a classic launcher (yes, it says Mattel, Inc. 1975 on the bottom of it), and a durable bag to carry all of it in. Not to mention that a car is included as well. Here is a list of the 39 pieces included: 1 Gravity Clamp, 15 connectors, 1 loop, 1 jump and base, 1 launcher, 1 180 curve, 13 straight tracks, and 6 risers, for a grand total of 39 pieces!! (Plus a car!) With all the stuff included, the possibilities are endless as far as layouts are concerned. I've never had a dull moment trying to find new ways to set up the track. There's always something that you can do to make it different. I'm also happy that it doesn't fall apart easily. All parts are durable, flexable, and very easy to connect and disconnect. Compatibility is also a key feature with this set. Have you ever thought of a Hot Wheels layout that is the best in the world, but when you're in the process of building it, you figure out that it isn't possible because the parts won't connect together just right? Well, that's not an issue here. Anything is truly possible because all the pieces fit together any way you want them to. The only complaint I have, and it's extremely minor, is with the catch ramp of the jump. The only way to connect track to it is to use one of the risers as a connector, as the standard connectors don't have a notch on them like the catch ramp does (It's hard to explain unless you've actually seen the product before). But it really doesn't matter unless you really need all 6 risers to hold up the track, and in almost every case you won't. What's really great is that when you're done playing, every piece fits nicely in the bag, and it's perfect for travel and storage. Also, if you think you want to build a bigger track, they sell each item separately at Toys R Us (Gravity Clamp, Launcher, Jump, Loop, Track Curve, and Booster). You can fill an entire house with a giant track! It's endless fun!! So, if you're looking for some good old fashioned Hot Wheels track sets the way they were meant to be in the old days, this is a set that you must pick up. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. And keep in mind that this is a Toys R Us exclusive, and even the biggest toy retailer (I won't name names) doesn't sell anything close to as good as this in their stores. Thank you Toys R Us for bringing back the classic track sets to your stores!!!!!
