My girls are 5 and 6. I got the oldest this item as a Christmas gift last year. I paid around $30 dollars and it is so not worth it. I got the doll with the darker hair. The highlights did not show up, was unable to curl the hair like in the picture, the highlight color you apply to the hair makes the hair harder and again it does not take.
Once you start to comb the hair it turns super nappy and tangled. Only good thing is the nail painting part.

this girls hair was hard to comb her hair was able to get wet we tryed that but it did not work so we tryed to comb hair agin that did not work so we gave up and did not try again.

My daughter received this for her birthday and we did have a very difficult time getting it out of the box and some of the hair was really snarly but nothing a brush and detangler couldn't fix.. My daughter loves to do her hair with and without the color we also bought extra hair accessories to put in her hair. My daughter has blonde hair (nearly white) and we had a difficult time getting the colors out of her own hair (three washes with adult shampoo).. All in all I do think this is a fun product and recommend it to be played with adult supervision.

I purchased the styling doll head as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She was very excited to see it, but then we had some trouble getting the head out of the package. Her hair was VERY secured to the box and by the time we got all of the string and plastic cut out, her hair needed brushing. When we brushed the doll's hair it became very puffy and not straight and silky anymore. So we had to spend more time trying to fix the dolls hair so it could be colored. I have to say that the doll was very pretty and she did have a decent amount of hair to play with. The coloring was easy to put in and color really stayed until washed. My daughter had no desire to put in her own hair yet so I can not tell how that will work yet. We did try to use the glitter in the doll's hair and found that barely any glitter comes outof the tube. It is mostly just clear gel with a tiny bit of sparkle. She still loves the doll head and did not care about any problems with the hair. Other children would probably love this toy, also.

My daughter loves this styling head as do I. We have had many and this one is the best! This is the only thing she plays with everyday. The hair doesn't fall out as someone else said. Very sturdy. We wash her hair in the bath and brush it often and the hair does not fall out. They could use the hair gels on themselves and it washes out easily.

i think this product is amazing and the hair dosen't fall out, or get really frizzy.
just remember to spray it with detangler or water and brush it every now and then.
i even play with it while my daughters at school and now i know how to french braid my daughters hair from practicing on it.
shes had it for 2 months and it still looks beutiful.
it was worth it and not extreamly expensive.
I LOVE IT!

My two daughters both love this doll. I don't let them put on much makeup at all, but they can doll up this girl as much as they want! They loved playing with the different colors and accessories.
