My girls received this as a gift and we were all super excited. Our family has a majority of the Melissa & Doug toys and totally adore them all. We could'nt wait to add this to the collection. Although my girls love, love, love the cupcake set the markers have created a HUGE MESS!The marker never really seems to dry so even after several days the mess continues to ruin items it comes in contact with. The marker will not wash out and I'm sad to say I can't wait till the ink runs out:(

I got this for my 3 year old nephew on his 3rd b day. It is great. It is great to see their little minds at work. He bakes, decorates, passes them out for us to enjoy after we sing him Happy B-Day! It has brought us all lots of joy and laughs. Melissa and Doug are the BEST!!!!

Only improvements could be diff markers and a carrying case.

the "icing" markers stain!!!

this toy is great, other than the fact that the markers used to decorate the cupcakes are PERMENANT MARKERS!!!! i was so irritated when my daughter ruined her outfit, and marked up her bedding!!! the markers also got on the carpet and couch... the ink stained everything. we love melissa and doug toys and this is the first melissa and doug product that we were very disappointed in. good toy IF you take away the markers!!!
