Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold and mildew, the pureguardianTM 55-Hour Ultrasonic Digital Humidifier uses Silver CleanTM Technology to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank. Thanks to ultrasonic technology it is virtually silent when it runs making it ideal to have on while you sleep. The humidifier is equipped with the option for warm or cool mist and a low water indicator light lets you know when its time to refill the water tank. It features a soft glow night light that turns on and off and easy-to-use digital controls.

We use this humidifier in the living room daily (it's only switched off at night). It does the job perfectly and very quietly. The only negative thing I would say is it is a tad bit tricky to fill, but definitely not a big deal.

This product is great! It holds a lot of water which on low will last approx. 4-5 nights making filling it easy. It send vapors into the air with no wet carpets/table - no white film. It has a slight hum to it which honestly puts me to sleep easily - it is not loud. This model does have a night light which you can turn off. However, if I had to complain, when unit is on the dial and buttons light up so much that it lights up the room. My solution was to cover the dials with a dark cloth which I found does work.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
