Featuring a 14-inch high pyramid which kids can construct, young architects will be able to assemble tricks and ambushes with removable plastic walls, a collapsible staircase, chute, scorpion trap, secret treasure chamber and trapdoor with slide. Now, children have everything they need to help the Pharaoh safeguard his jewels against treasure hunters. No batteries required. Dimensions: 21 x 21 x 14 inches (L x W x H).

    Once upon a time in 1876, there was a locksmith named Andreas Brandstatter. Mr. Brandstatter planted a magical seed that would eventually blossom into Playmobil by founding an eponymous lock and metal fitting company in Furth, Germany. By the 1930s, Playmobil's pretend play had again been redefined; manufacturing telephones, cash registers, and various items for toy shops using sheet metal. At the beginning of the 1950s, Horst Brandstatter, the Playmobil's current owner, came on board and started a new era in the company history. He updated Playmobil pretend play products, searched out new markets and focused production on his favorite material, plastic. In 1958, the hula hoop craze gripped the world, and Horst Brandstatter was determined to perfect the pretend play toy that would inspire further exploration. Realizing that the technique, using air pressure, hot plastic hoses, and shape molds, could also produce basically any shape (in addition to the traditional bottles and hoops), Mr. Brandstatter created the first prototype Playmobil pretend play item, a closed racing car manufactured in a single production step. From that point on, the company expanded rapidly with products in toys. Playmobil was introduced at the 1974 International Toy Fair in Nuremberg and by using an innovative marketing strategy, parents and children responded uniformly with fascination and enthusiasm, to Playmobil.

    We were in Egypt 4 times already and all the PLAYMOBIL egyptians are great and actually look-a- like!!
    My son got this for his 6th birthday - he loves it. He stays in his Playroom and plays for hours. Really worth the buy!!

    I'm a big fan and collector of Playmobil and this is one of the best sets yet! There are so many hidden passages and different ways to play. The detailed pieces are fantastic and have led to many questions about Egyptian history and ancient customs that have provided learning opportunities for both the kids and me. We've had this set for about one month and it has been played with almost daily by my children, ages 6 and 9 and the neighbor children, ages 4 and 5. It's a durable, wonderful toy. Other Playmobil fans will appreciate that there are no plants or flowers to assemble! However, there are many stickers to apply.

    I've got a 4 year old and 8 year old granddaughter, they love this toy, the puzzles, the walls that come off for easier access inside, the hidden areas, it's just a toy that keeps on giving fun!
