Product Description

Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin Drops are Vitamin D supplement drops, essential for all breastfed infants. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends using a vitamin D supplement for exclusively and partially breastfed babies because of low average levels of vitamin D in breast milk, your baby's doctor may recommend Enfamil D-Vi-Sol drops.

Founded over 100 years ago by Edward Mead Johnson, one of the original founders of Johnson and Johnson, the Mead Johnson company produces more than 70 different products that are distributed in over 50 countries worldwide. Mead Johnson produces baby formula, vitamin and specialty nutritional supplements including Enfamil. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil baby formula has undergone several significant changes since it was invented. Each change brings Enfamil baby formula nutritionally closer to breast milk.

Edward Mead founded Mead Johnson because he wanted to make products to help people live healthier lives. After much research, Edward Mead and his son Lambert discovered a way to manufacture nutrient-rich baby food formula for infants who didnt have access to breast milk. This eventually became Enfamil baby formula.

Mead Johnson's global operations center and U.S. regional office is located in Evansville, Indiana.

Great Product! My daughter's pediatrician suggested this since I am exclusively breast feeding her. I have been giving it to her since she was 1 week old, and I have absolutely no complaints. She loves the taste, and it doesn't stain. Would definitely recommend if you are exclusively breast feeding.

I got this from my pharmacy to use on my newborn who is exclusively breastfeeding. To my horror upon reading the ingredient list I found this product to be loaded with artificial flavors, colors and preservatives. Caramel color that contains 4MEI (a carcinogen) was put in a product for an infant????!?!? Shame on you Enfamil. I'm glad I have a Food Science degree and knew better than give this to my child - but I am upset that you would even offer a product with those types of UNNECESSARY ingredients for infants to families who may not know better. SHAME ON YOU! I just ordered another product from your competitor which contain only vitamin d - no other unnecessary ingredients. I will not be buying any of your products because I have no faith in you making safe quality products after seeing this.

I have nothing good or nothing bad to say about this product. The only reason we buy it is because my wife breastfeeds and the doctor recommends it. And you guys were the only ones that actually carry it. It is always sketchy giving a child any sort of Medicine.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin Drops 50 ml:

This stuff is horrible. The ingredients are artificial and it smells and tastes horrible. My baby became really fussy after taking it and it caused him to be gassy and drooly. I will never use it again and probably will never buy the Enfamil brand again. They should be ashamed of this product. There are natural vitamin D supplements for babies that use coconut oil as a base and you only give babies ONE drop per day. My baby likes them much better.

This is the worst product you can give your Newborn. As a First Time Parent. I hate what this has done to my child. Fussiness, constant crying, not sleeping, HORRIBLE STOMACH PAINS. I will never ever give this to my child again. I do not want to see my child suffer anymore pain then they have already.

Tried to give to grand daughter. Tried it myself, and it has a strong, alcohol like taste. Wouldn't mix with milk or food because of two reasons. First might deter baby from wanting the item mixed with, and second if they don't finish the mixed product there is no way to know how much they got! Looking for a better product!

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin Drops 50 ml:

I am exclusively breast feeding and my pediatrician recommended this product. As it's easy to give in a bottle, it is extremely difficult to give in the cheek of the mouth as directed. I tried doing this for the first time last night and my baby tolerated bout half of the syringe before beginning to spit it out. I got about 3/4 of the vitamin in before he started getting upset so I stopped giving it. I was also disappointed that this product has artificial coloring. I will be looking into a different supplement product.

It is great when you can mix the product in a bottle, but I'm still on maternity leave and I normally do not give a bottle. For the first time last night, I tried giving the vitamin to my 8wk old by putting it in the cheek of his mouth as directed. He tolerated about half of the syringe, then started spitting it out and got upset. I was able to give about 3/4 of the syringe before I stopped. I am also disappointed that they would put artificial colorings and flavors. Why does it need to have color, and clearly it doesn't taste good so why add artificial flavoring?

Our baby was a fairly content baby...until we gave her this product, as directed. I don't wish any precious, innocent little baby the kind of uneasiness and fussiness this product caused. Take a look at reviews from the website itself, along with some on here. I noticed there are some good ones so I'm guessing some babies were not affected by this horrible contraption (read the ingredients too). Please anyone, reading this comment, do not buy! Try other brands of vitamin D drops first! We are returning this TODAY!
