I absolutely love this car seat. I have had the stroller that goes along with it. My little girl is 2 and just grew out of it but it was well worth the money.

We originally ordered a Maxi Cosi because of it's fit with our stroller and because it was lightweight and nice looking. It arrived and was damaged and also seemed a bit weak. After ordering the Chicco carseat, we knew we had to keep it and send the Maxi Cosi back. The Chicco just seems to be a more solid car seat and base. Both of them have sort of small canopies. However, the Chicco seems safer and has an easy to install set of directions included. Also, we ended up liking the style of the Chicco better.

My husband and I researched up a storm when choosing which seat to buy for our newborn. We're so happy we selected the Chicco brand and the Fuego pattern is great as it can be used for both boy or girl.

Installation process was a breeze using LATCH. When the seat was inspected at our local fire station the firemen reiterated how much they love the Chicco seats, too due to ease of installation and safety record. We feel the seat is quite secure for our little girl and like that we can pull the strap to buckle her in snugly each time.

Car seat fabric cleaned well on its first trip through the washing machine (spit up is so messy!) although it was quite a feat to remove all the components in order to clean the seat completely.

Bottom line: Ease of installation, quality of the seat and its parts, as well as Chicco's reputation make this a great seat for the money. We look forward to using it for many years (well, until it expires :)

So far I don't have any concerns/complaints. It works well for my son. It's installed in our truck and he enjoys the ride :)

I really like this car seat the inside supports keep my little guys head from flopping around. I t was easy to to install, and is very sturdy I feel comfort that hes safe in there when were driving. The only reasons I didn't give it a full 5 stars is first its pretty heavy and a bit bulky, and living in Florida and having my son in the summer the material makes him over heat very quickly and sweat a lot. Other then that this is a great product.

Love this car seat. Granted, we have othing to compare it to, but it's been easy to use, clean, transport, etc. We started our car seat search on COnsumer Reports and Chicco KeyFit 30 did well in every category! An easy choice for style and safety.

We bought this car seat for our second son. I love the colors and how much padding came with for head support. I have a few pros and cons.

Pros:
-newborn head won't flop around, the head support holds their little heads perfect.
-not to bulk for our SUV since we also have a convertible car seat also in the car.
-covers the childs height and weight longer than most other car seats
-he was in a car accident at 2 months and 2 days and was alseep when the other car hit us, and he STAYED alseep the whole time. The accident didnt even wake him up. VERY SAFE if it can do that. And this wreck was a T bone .

Cons:
-if you are having a summer baby (which i did) the car seat gets very hot so my son would sweat in it everytime. I made sure he only had a onsies on if we had to put him in the car seat.
-this car seat is heavier than most. my son is 11 lbs and I am 5'4 and already having trouble caring him in it for a long period of time (such as running into the bank line)
-the umbrella part(can't think of the actual name) doesnt rest all the way down while you are in the car, I have to pull if down all the way so it hangs so i can see the baby in his mirror.

Super easy install with the LATCH system.

It's sturdy and easy to use with big, orange handles.

Looks nice, and it's well padded for the baby.

The seat itself is kind of heavy, but not really worse than most others I've held.

This car seat will not disappoint! A few of the reviews complained that the sun shade isn't big enough. While I wish it were bigger, it hasn't been much of an issue and I live in one of the sunniest spots in the country. Installing the base is very easy and it's a breeze to get in and out of the car with this car seat. It's easy to clean and looks like new after. Plus, it's supposed to be one of the safest around.
