This phone, although simple, has been the hit with both of my kids (10 months and 3) and all of their cousins and friends (6 months-6 years). Every time kids come over there is a fight over who gets to use the phone (we actually just bought a 2nd one so they can talk to each other). They LOVE to flip it open and shut to see the animal image on the "screen" change. Sure my kids still want my phone every chance they get but this one has been a great distraction and my 3 year old daughter talks to everyone she can think of on this phone...she has quite the imagination. Durable too, we have had this phone for about 2 years and it has really held up and we only just replaced the batteries a couple of months ago for the 1st time.

Our 7 month old twins were teething horribly and water-logged 2 of our real cell phones so we got them this toy phone and another toy phone to play with instead. They seem to like this toy even though it doesn't do much, they dance to the little songs and like pressing the buttons. The other phone we bought has more options to play with yet they seem to like this phone more.It's definitely not the best quality however, within a week or so the phone started going on by itself all the time. It's supposed to say "hello" when you open it and "goodbye" when you close it, however, it says "hello" and "goodbye" all the time when it's just sitting in the toy chest- which is a little creepy at 2 in the morning ;)

My 16-month old loves this phone.

It is not too loud and small enough to take everywhere. We took it on an airplane and managed not to annoy anyone nearby. I throw it in my purse so he can play with it when he gets bored running errands.

It's also been thrown on the hardwood floor a number of times and is still working.

My daughter (8mos.) Is obsessed with phones and remotes, so we got her this toy, and she loves it! She loves the buttons and it is big enough for her to be able to grasp it well. I wish it lit up, but for a cheap timewaster, it works really well!

My 17 month old uses everything he can as a phone. It is so funny! This little phone rings (but not too loud heehee) and says hello. He really likes it. It is small enough to throw in the diaper bag or leave by the changing table to keep him busy during diaper changes. I really like it and so does my son!

We purchased this toy for our son when he was 8 months old. Now he is 11/2 but it is still one of his favorites. It keeps him so entertained especially during long trips in the car. We have more than gotten our money's worth out of this inexpensive but very entertaining toy.

Since my daughter is obsessed with tv controlers and cell phones, grandma decided to get her this at 7 months of age (just turned 11 months). She LOVES it. I can give this to her anytime and she goes to town with it. This toy has helped her learn how to open and shut. It has also recently taught her to say Hello and I'm sure eventually Goodbye. She at least understands the meaning of both and sometimes waves. My husband and I always ask her who's calling when she opens it and tell her whether it's dog, kitty, or mouse. For a simple little toy she's learned a lot.
