My 13 month old loves pushing the steering wheel and getting animal noises!! It also has an auto shut off feature. You just need to flip the toy off then back on and its ready to go all over again! The only down side ive found is that the Velcro that attaches the wheel to a piece that hangs off the car seat isnt very strong and my child pulls it off and throws the wheel on the floor occasionally. Not sure if the lights are noticeable or not but my daughter doesnt seem to care either way.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This toy would be fine if your child could see it during the day. I don't know about most parents, but I'm not driving very often at night. That's the only time the lights are bright enough to correspond to the animal sounds. Overall pretty boring toy for how big it is. Covers the whole back driver seat!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
