Like others have said, this 'paint' is more like colored gel. It is still fun for the kids. My older son is almost 4 and he was only interested in using them once. He moved on to tempera paints, but our younger son continued to use them until they started to separate. After a while the colors began to separate into a thick colored gel and a watery substance. They were kept indoors in a good area.

I was dissappointed with this "paint" ... not really paint, more like a translucent gel... would def. try another brand. Bought this for a creative project in which we were going to paint on flower pots- could not use at all because the paint wouldn't show up- this would only show up on white paper because it is so translucent. Only positive is that it is very easy to clean up this "paint" because it is so sheer.
