As it was the only helmet that size in the store at the time, my options were limited. But knowing that my 14 month old daughter doesn't usually like anything on her head, we didn't want to buy something online only to know within 2 seconds we would need to return it. But as soon as we put it on her head and started riding the bike, she quickly associated the helmet with going on a bike ride and loved it. She didn't notice the helmet at all which is probably the most important thing. We haven't had to worry about her trying to move it all over her head or play with it at all and it is a nice snug fit. My only suggestion is to perhaps have one that is more "girly"...but this one really isn't too bad. All and all a great helmet for the price.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excited that I could find a helmet for a 1-year old. I wanted my daughter to get used to wearing a helmet while she was young so it wouldn't be an issue later. She would wear this while riding her push toys in the driveway. She liked it so much that she would sometimes wear it around the house for fun.
