My daughter received this as a Christmas present at 3 months old. This is her absolute favorite toy. (She's 9 months old now). I wash it in the washer with Dreft and hang to dry. (no musical things or batteries to deal with) She loves to take the mouse out of the elephants ear and chew on it. She also chews on the hanging hook. There are so many little things that she likes to grab and pull. Luv it.. luv it...

My 18 month old loved this on the car ride to Disney. We spent 8 hours in the car and he spent at least 1/3 or it playing with this guy.

At the mall one day with a very fussy 3 month old. I wanted to get him something that would grab his attention and keep him busy. This toy did the trick! He was immediately interested in this one, after showing him a handful of others! He's almost 6 months old now, and it's still his favorite take along toy. We connect it to his carseat and crib - and he reaches for it and is now learning to make the mouse squeak. I've caught him several times hugging it - and often refuses to let go when we're trying to get him out of his carseat!

My little one (Lily) has this hooked on her carseat
She's teething so I like that this toy is soft all over and there aren't any hard surfaces. I like the toys that are attached to the hands, feet and ears. I feel they put a lot of time into making this toy. She has so many different options of textures to chew on.
The mouse doesn't squeak that loud...and I wish you could adjusting it.
I would put a louder squeak on the mouse and some more of the crunching (like paper crumbling) on it.

Comments about Kids Preferred The World of Eric Carle Development Elephant Toy:

While visiting my daughter and family in New Jersey, I stopped off in Toys R Us to purchase something for my 4 month old granddaughter. I chose the Elephant Toy since this is not the first Eric Carle development toy I've purchased. My granddaughter already has the ladybug and when presented to her, the elephant became her favorite toy. She loves to hear the different sounds when rubbing the different areas and loves putting the gold star in her mouth to soothe her teething gums. The colorful fabric holds her attention and she loves to hold onto her new elephant wherever we go. I have to buy another one just in case this one gets lost!! Great toy to heighten baby's sense, keeping her busy with wonderful bold colors and sounds. I'm already set to buy her a whole Eric Carle menagerie at Toys R Us!
