We tried this product out at the grocery store for the first time last night and yes, it does help keep our 6 month old from touching a possibly "dirty" shopping cart. However, as everyone else has said, the back does not tie to the cart so even though we strapped her in, she kept leaning forward and almost hitting the handle with her face. Yes, I was right there to stop her from hitting it, but the point of the product is to secure the child safely in the cart so the parent has free hands. We ended up having to have one of us hanging on to her almost all the time while moving. Totally defeats the purpose. Now when she can completely sit up in a month or so without be a little wobbly, the cover might be fine to just keep her off the "regular" cart seat. However, the straps still won't do any good. Oh, and if you're by yourself with a child on your hip, it's kinda hard to tie the sides down one handed. Your gonna have to practice. Please don't buy!

Recently bought this as our daughter is 6 months old now and sitting up almost unsupported. My wife and I decided to give it a try tonight. We put it in the cart and it fit, but we discovered there was no strap to keep the back of the cover attached to the back of the shopping cart seat. The harness is great, but it doesn't hold the child in place without a strap or ties to keep it still. We discovered this to be a HUGE design flaw as 5 minutes into the use, our daughter leans forwards (yes even with having the harness securely around her) and busts her mouth on the cart. Mind you there is material there covering that part of the cart, but its VERY thin which provides no protection. One unhappy father and one upset wife with a hurting and crying baby.....Needless to say, this peice of junk is going back to the store in the morning.

This barely fits most carts and keeps slipping off both cart and high chairs. Would not reccomend it at all.

I don't know why this gets such bad reviews! I love it!!! It fits on all carts except [...] and even there you can make it fit. It will fit on restaurant high chairs, but not perfectly. It does the job. I have put in on carts many of times by myself with my daughter on my hip. If you want something smaller and not big and bulky like other cart covers, this is the way to go! Easy to carry along with a diaper bag and baby.

Present for granddaughter. Her mother use once so far. First use had to figure out how to use. Did like having carrying bag

I received this as a shower gift and of course didn't start using it until my daughter was several months old and able to sit in the cart by herself. I love the color and print of this as well as the fact that it folds together into a bag. It fits most carts well, although [...] carts are differently shaped than a lot. The cover still fits, but is a bit stretched out to cover the handles. I am always by myself when grocery shopping and am able to install the cover with one hand easily. I don't ever really bother to tie down the sides as I don't think it's necessary, but overall this is a great buy. I would definitely recommend this to others. In addition, it fits high chairs well also.

I use this every time we go grocery shopping and love it. It takes 3 seconds to set up and tie onto the cart. When my daughter was younger I would attach toys to the cloth rings to keep her entertained. When she's teething she chews on the fabric intead of the cart. The zipper pocket gets put to good use, and the handle cover works for all but the [...] shopping cart. I also use this in restaurants to cover the highchairs, and am always glad I did.

I was excited to see such a great price but now I know why. They skimped on the fabric and it doesn't fit larger shopping carts [...]. Luckily I tried it on the cart at the store and was able to just return it right then instead of having to waste a trip.
