Buyer Beware!

Purchased for 6 yr old daughter for Christmas - Worked the first day, a few times the next day, and never again. Will not read the CD's, not even the demo CD that ...Read complete review

Purchased for 6 yr old daughter for Christmas - Worked the first day, a few times the next day, and never again. Will not read the CD's, not even the demo CD that came with it. When it did work, the words on the screen were mixed up and did not follow the song.
Logged complaint on manufacturer website & sent email to customer service -- no response in over a week. Tried calling customer service and after several menu selections recording said "wait for the next rep". Then heard "call volume is higher than usual, please leave a message with name and phone number and next rep will return your call." Next I heard "Voice Mail box is full - Cannot leave a message" and then "CLICK" - disconnected.

    Ordered for daughters birthday, she loved it...but it would stop in the middle of every third song no matter what CD or CDG was in. I called Toys R Us and they sent a replacement and I shipped the defective one back. The new one works great! My family has had a blast with it. I read the reviews and bought it anyway, knowing full well that I was purchasing the extra warranty and that things can always be returned. Toys R Us was great about that.

            Santa brought it. The amplified sound, microphones, flashing lights, and echo worked great. The CD wouldn't play any CD's (error code "UN" ? ? ? not covered in the trouble shooting section). Still trying to find a fully functioning unit. My 5 year old loves it.
            Suggest buying it where it can be returned w/o additional shipping costs.

                  This was purchased as santa's big gift for my 4 year old daughter. She was very disappointed christmas morning when the machine wouldn't even read the free cd included with the machine. No luck when contacting customer service by phone, just got a recording. Still waiting to hear from customer service online.
