My son's ducky humidifier died today. It ran every day for nine months. It ran very quite for about seven months then it would make this terrible noise as if it were running out of gas. Yes it is very cute and my son loved it, but I really expected to last a little longer. I am disappointed in this product. I thought that it may have been a little better quality. So, on to the next.

We used to use another humidifier that required a filter, but the filter would mildew within a few weeks' time (in Maryland). We changed to the duck and have had no problems. We then moved to the desert and the water is very hard, so a mineral film forms on the inside of the humidifier and on the table we have the humidifier on, but that's not nearly as bad as mildew. A little vinear helps remove the mineral deposits. If my toddler rearranges the face of the duck so that it is not alligned correctly, sometimes water will pool on the table under the duck. We have liked it so much we bought the cow humidifier for child #2. My toddler LOVES to help fill the duck and the cow at night.

My son has allergies in the spring and fall We bought this product liking the duck theme and since it seemed kid friendly. Also, i liked the idea of night light,water purifying and no filter needed- however bought the one sold separately anyway just to be safe. Not long after using this product, the motor would make a loud sound when it was first turned on. It would take up to five min or so for the sound to go away and sometimes never did. I would not recommend this product due to its short life span.

My kids Doctor advised a Humidifier for them and I saw this one online. I went to the toys r us shop and bought it. It worked good for at least 2 months and after that it just stopped working itself. I thought it's just some kind of power outlet problem and I switched the outlets but NO Help. How awful. It still looks brand new but NOT WORKING AT ALL. My husband and I can't figure out what is wrong. I thought it was a long term investment but I was wrong. I do not recommend this product. Waste of money.

This duck does the job. Have no problems (4 months). My daughter love this duck, she laughs at it each time she see it. LOL she Loves the duck!

The only good thing about this humidifier is that it is quiet....when it is actually working that is. The first duck we bought lasted a week, before it fried. 2nd duck we got lasted about 2 weeks before it fried. 3rd try with the duck worked for about a month before it started to make a loud noise after turning it on. That lasted a few minutes. So no more ducks for us!!! We tried the Crane Frog one next and that lasted awhile, until one day it wouldn't shut off......ugh

Cute enough to leave out all the time. Practical and a must have for a baby/kids room.

This humidifier is surprisingly strong, even at the lowest setting, and humidifies a room very quickly. I place it on a wooden dresser and have had no leaking or dripping problems with it. However do not leave it unattended or run for a long period of time.

The spring that minimizes water leaking out of the tank broke the night we bought it. However that could be avoided by simply holding the tank upside down. I was willing to deal with that. Unfortunately 3 weeks later there was something wrong with the water level sensor. Unit would stop working and red light kept coming on despite the tank being 3/4 full. Followed the manual's instructions and thoroughly cleaned the sensor float. Still didn't work. Returning it to the store to try a different model.

Great humidifier. Received it as an early shower gift from a friend but am already using for myself to relieve some cough/alergy symptoms. Love that you can see how much mist is coming out and that it has a wide range of settings. Also, has a nightlight feature that is sublte enough, but does cast some light. Tankfull of water lasts a couple of nights even with the setting up about 3/4 of the way. The unit is also very quiet, and VERY cute!!!
