I bought these to to go along with my 2 year old son's kitchen set. There are lots of food items but many are quite small. The pretend ritz crackers are about actual size and my son got one stuck in his mouth longways and we both freaked out. Just be aware that some of these pieces could block your child's airway so they are definitely not for younger kids.

This product is very durable. I read the reviews before ordering and was worried about it being flimsy. It is not! Goes perfect with my four/five year old. Wonderful and could not get any better!!!

There is a nice varitey of food. My kids like to play with it. My biggest gripe is the item sizes are for the most part so far off. It would be fine if they were proportionally smaller, but the roaster chicken is the size of the broccolli florets (which are about the right size). I also hate having so many small things to pick up. The plastic does seem flimsy but all the pieces have survived;. the french toast is chewed flat as is the ends of the asparagus and celery. We bought this a year ago for our two1/2 yr old, Now our 19 month olds play with it as well.

These items servered their purpose, but most of the food items are made of flimsy plastic and cardboard, which where easily distroyed. I highly recommend getting only a few of the quality food items.

I've purchased other brands of food sets and this by far is the best...the quality is great and there is soooo many pieces (not always fun picking up though! :) ) Our daughter loves it and it goes great with her Step2 deluxe kitchen. LOVE Step2 products!!
