This item is good quality, soft to the touch, and didn't draw up after being washed.

Having said that, from day one my son didn't like to be swaddled so we didn't get to use this product. Unfortunately I had opened and washed all of the swaddle blankets we had received as presents before he was born and can't return any of them.

My recommendation is to purchase only one (or just try swaddling with a regular blanket for a couple days) and give it a try to be sure your baby likes to be swaddled before buying more.

We used this when we brought our son home and it kept him pretty snug and he slept really well. Great alternative to traditional swaddling. When he out grew the small we bought the large, but he outgrew it really quickly. The label states that it is for 14-22 lbs, he is only about 13 lbs now, and we can no longer put him in it. He has gotten to the point where he can move his arms and undo the velcro and his arms come out the top. We went with a swaddle/sleepsack instead. Other than that, it is great for new borns

This swaddle worked great up until this week (baby is 4 weeks old), when he suddenly became able to get his arms out very easily. The bottom part is cut too low so his arms are only held in by one piece of fabric. He's very strong and when he's upset he is out of the swaddle in minutes. Disappointing. Also, like others have noted, the velcro is loud and startles baby during the night.

My baby did not sleep when we brought her home from the hospital. She had stomach problems and was grumpy and would only sleep when she was on my chest. We bought a swaddle blanket and she was sleeping 12 hours a night.

We received this as a gift for my son when he was a few weeks old. It instantly - and I mean INSTANTLY (like upon being velcroed in) - made a difference. It's like it has some magical powers to instantly lull him to sleep once all tucked in. I actually decided to try last night to just put him to bed in pajamas - no swaddle - and though he tried to sleep, he was restless and woke up entirely by 10:30. Fussing, I began the swaddle and before I attached the last piece his eyes were hardly able to resist being closed.

CONS:
- The velcro is a bit loud when un-attaching. The noise always startles my baby.

- The material isn't breathable and causes my baby to sweat in it. So I usually only put him in a onesie when he's swaddled in it and lower the thermostat overnight. Not that big a deal, but it does stink he's not getting to wear a lot of his cute footed pj's.

- Learning curve. While now I can assert it's pretty simple to wrap him up in this, the first couple of times were frustrating... especially at 3 AM during a crying baby's diaper change. I was definitely inspired to think of colorful words.

Overall, this product has been THE reason for many nights that were more well-rested than if we didn't have it.

Definitely will be buying more now!

(Btw, if it helps anyone trying to figure out sizing, my son is six weeks and we're having to move up to the next size from a small. I'm guessing he's about 12 pounds now.)

This is a super easy swaddling solution. Even if you are a swaddling pro, in those instances when you are under the gun (ie. screaming baby), this is a really nice product to have around.

I put two of these on my register in size small. They are the only swaddles my 2 month old son cannot break out of. He loves the swaddle so much that he smiles when I put it on. We use these for naps and at night to ensure safe and secure sleeping. They are made of very soft material and so far they wash and wear well.

Absolutely love this thing! It is so much easier to use than trying to swaddle with a blanket that comes undone all of the time. I have used this with both of my kids and think it really helps them sleep for a lot longer at night.

This swaddle wrap is a key component of something our friends jokingly call "Double Lockdown". First you swaddle your baby using an Aden + Anais muslin blanket. Then you put this swaddle wrap on over it. It works like a charm!! Even the most talented escape artist won't be able to work her arms out. We do the double swaddle for all naps in the crib and nighttime. Our daughter sleeps beautifully and never startles herself into waking up. An absolute "must have" for helping your baby sleep soundly!
