I have had these swaddle since my son was born. They work great except my son is 3 months and 16 pounds. I bought the large hoping he can use them for a little longer since he sleeps better when swaddled, but he has pretty much outgrown the large.

The first few weeks with my son was HORRIBLE. He would wake up every 2-3 without fail. When he started eating more I thought that he'd sleep more, but no. We had another swaddler that I had tried to use, but it was a total piece of garbage. My son could break out of it in seconds. Eventually our friend had given my fiance and I this swaddler. Right away my son was able to sleep better. I can tell he loves it! I think he feels very secure in this. His arms and legs can't flail around and babies definitely need that security. I would recommend this to anybody I know having a baby. I'm actually about to buy two bigger ones. That way I have a back up when I need to wash one!

This is a great product if you have trouble swaddling your baby with swaddling blankets, or if you don't want to mess with swaddling. I use these at night when I am too tired to swaddle my daughter with the blankets. These just Velcro right together. The fabric is lightweight but in summer in Atlanta, my daughter just wears a diaper and the SwaddleMe and is able to keep cool. My sister-in-law had given us the small size, and I just purchased the large size at 6 weeks because I felt my daughter's legs were too long for the small.

My baby is 5 months old and was getting too strong and wiggly to be swaddled in a blanket. He constantly rubs and scratches his face and head when he is tired, preventing him from falling asleep, so not swaddling him isn't an option. His father and I were getting very frustrated trying to wrap him up without success. The strong velcro prevents him from loosening it up, and at 16 lbs the large size will still give him room to grow. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for an easier more reliable way to swaddle.

Once our daughter turned around 3 months old and was moving around more, she started waking herself (and my husband and I) up very frequently at night. She usually would not nap for more than 30-45 minutes during the day. She had never liked to be swaddled as a newborn, so we never thought of trying it again until a friend suggested it and we were getting desperate! The first night we put the swaddle on her, she slept 8 straight hours! The next day, she had 3 good solid naps in it as well. She loves it! We are loving getting some sleep finally!

We have been using the swaddle on our 3 month old since birth and love it! We found that he needs the swaddle for naptimes as well as at night. Since we started using it for naps as well as nighttime, he has become a much better napper.

I did ruin one blanket, however, by drying it for too long. I put it in the dryer for one cycle and then let it air dry as opposed to drying it in the dryer until it is completely dry.
I would recommend the organic blankets; they seem to shrink less than the regular cotton ones and just seem a little softer overall.

We use this everynight for bedtime! Baby Boy loves to be swaddled, but always used to work his way out of other swaddles. (Be it blankets or similar items) This is the best kind I have found! The velcro is strong, and doesn't break loose when Baby Boy tries to squirm around! It is a lifesaver in our household. We have 3! One in the wash, 1 on the baby, and 1 for a backup!

Our 2 month old was still only sleeping 4 hours/night, and I was at my wit's end. The FIRST NIGHT we tried this, my little man slept 10 HOURS! Granted, I was up all night wondering when he'd wake up, but he's now 3 months old, and it's not a coincidence. These things WORK! They wash well, and the velcro is very strong! WORTH the investment!! Buy 2 or 3!

This is essential. The "startle response" always woke my little man up and no matter how hard we tried to swaddle correctly he always managed to get an arm or two out when we used the receiving blankets. The first time we used this he slept 4 hours and its been improving ever since. When his tummy wouldn't allow him to be comfortable lying flat we were able to use this with our bouncy seat and he slept great. This is a must have in my opinion and excellent for sleep training.

While this is much easier to swaddle baby than starting from scratch with a regular blanket, my little "handini" gets out of the swaddle pretty regularly. I like the idea of the back slit for being able to secure him while swaddled although I have not used that feature. I prefer the straight jacket approach of the miracle blanket...we used that one first b/c he was too little for this (born at 7 lbs). By 2 weeks he was sleeping a good 4 hours consistently.
