In honor of Princess Peach's birthday, a suspiciously large (though deliciously frosted) cake was delivered to her castle. Then, in the middle of the festivities, the evil Koopalings leaped out of the cake and kidnapped the princess! Now, it's up to Mario and his friends to hop and stomp through the Mushroom Kingdom, defeat the Koopalings, and save Princess Peach.

An all new side scrolling adventure is here... and this time, you can bring friends! Players can take the game on alone or, for the first time ever, up to four friends can team up to power through levels packed with bottomless pits, blasting cannons, slippery ice, and tumbling platforms. With four players charging through the chaos, levels never play the same way twice!

Power up your game with all new items! There aren't always enough powerups for everyone, though, so things may get competitive luckily, you can shake the Wii Remote controller to pick up your friends, and then it's up to you if you want to carry them over a pit or throw them into it!

Run, hop, and stomp through eight all-new worlds packed with more enemies, secret routes, and surprises! As you explore deep caves, swim Blooper-infested seas, and leap over both lava and ice, you'll need all the help you can get even if you're playing the adventure alone. Whether you're carrying a glowing block used to illuminate a pitchblack tunnel or riding a Yoshi eager to eat anything and everything, you'd better bring your best platforming skills...and if that fails, bring your friends!

This game is so much fun, everybody joins in, adults too. It differs from the DS game in that there are other things you can do like ride on dinosaurs, get a helicopter helmet, and become penguins. You can also save anywhere in the game which you couldn't do on the DS until you finished a castle level or finished the entire game once through. You can also gather power-ups (several different types) and store them to use as needed. Only one power-up is needed for all players in the game. Also a good feature is that any player can join or delete themselves during a game at their leisure. It is a little more difficult to play with more than one player because you have to watch out for others and others have to watch out for you. Sometimes without wanting to, a player may bounce on you and stomp you into a lava pit or push you off a cliff. It's a challenge just to stay alive with many players playing at the same time, but it makes for an interesting game!

I loved the original Mario Bros so I had to splurge and buy this one but after completing the entire game in one 2 hour sitting I would not buy it again. I recommend waiting until you can buy it cheaper used or the price goes down unless you are buying it for a younger child. The levels are easily completed and although they are fun the fun is over way too fast.

My son got this @ 4 yrs old with the wii & now 5, still loves it & asks to play every day & would if allowed. He thinks it's great that the whole family can play together. I was surprised @ how quick he caught on & would recommend it for all ages.

We bought this game for our kids for Christmas a couple years back. This is one of the few games they don't get board of quickly. The only problem is that it's a little hard to learn, but once the kids learn how to use it,it's so much fun!

Very fun. You can play as 4 different characters. You get to travel to 4-6 different maps. You get to play over 30 games which are all in their own way really fun. Highly Recommended
